Chapter 146 - Meaning of Strength

Ryuga's roar echoed in the room.

Yahiko stared blankly at Ryuga, his ideals had never been insulted like this before. He could be cursed at, but his ideals could not.

Yahiko's gaze became firm, and he took a step forward, approaching Ryuga.

Ryuga watched the madman before him warily.

"You are wrong." Yahiko said to Ryuga.

Haruki raised an eyebrow. Yahiko had ignited, though he didn't know what he was igniting, the only thing for sure was that he had ignited.

"I never expected everyone to understand my ideals. If everyone could understand my ideals, then no wars would happen."

"I am prepared with the patience and courage to transmit my ideals little by little to others."

"No matter what others say, I will not give up."

"Even if you call me a fool or a madman, I will persevere!"

"Because this is my ninja way!"

"I will uphold it until I die!"

Yahiko clenched his fists, his eyes sparkling with the light of his ideals, and his face seemed to be covered with a golden glow.

Ryuga's pupils dilated, looking at Yahiko before him in disbelief.

Haruki's shock was no less than Ryuga's. He stared at Yahiko beside him as if seeing another person.

That was the true Child of Prophecy, Naruto, who had not yet been born.

No wonder Nagato and Konan later saw Yahiko's shadow in Naruto, these two had exactly the same personality.

Haruki stared at the light on Yahiko's face, his expression constantly changing.

Is this right?

Why does Yahiko's face have special effects?

"What a fool…"

Ryuga relaxed all his muscles and slumped to the ground, staring at the ceiling, the boy's firm words still echoing in his mind.

He couldn't help but shift his gaze to Haruki. "Do you also believe his words, Haruki? If I'm not mistaken, you have personally experienced several cruel wars. The enemies who died by your hand are countless, aren't they? Even with hands stained with blood, even witnessing comrades die, do you still believe that problems can be solved through friendly talks?"

Ryuga's question made Yahiko and the others' gazes all focus on Haruki.

Haruki cleared his throat, it was his turn to speak.

"I believe." Haruki nodded.

[Ding!]

[Your Love Curse growth value has risen to 49.8%.]

A hint of confusion flashed in Ryuga's eyes. "Why?"

He couldn't understand why Haruki could believe such a naive thing. Since Haruki had been on the battlefield, he should know that friendly talks were simply a joke.

Yahiko looked at Haruki with shining eyes. He knew Haruki would definitely stand by his side. He and Haruki shared a common ideal, and they would fight together for their common ideal.

Yahiko's heart felt warm.

Haruki looked at Ryuga, his eyes calm, yet Ryuga, who met his gaze, felt a powerful will.

"It is precisely because I have personally experienced the cruelest wars, had my hands stained with blood, and witnessed my most important comrades fall before my eyes, that I am more convinced than anyone else that the ultimate and only way out of war is always understanding and dialogue."

Haruki glanced at Yahiko, then turned to Ryuga and said, "Yahiko just now didn't make one premise clear to you, and that is to first possess powerful strength, strength sufficient to influence the Ninja World, and then engage in friendly talks. This is the premise of everything."

Ryuga was stunned. He had to admit that what this kid Haruki said was much more normal than what that yellow-haired kid had said just now.

"Please don't misunderstand. The strength I speak of is not necessarily powerful combat ability, nor is it for starting wars, but for defending the right to talk." Haruki said earnestly.

Ryuga's expression became much more serious.

Haruki said, "I know that in the Ninja World, kindness without strength is equivalent to incompetence. When a villain wields a butcher knife and rushes towards civilians, your shouting 'Let's talk friendly' to him is meaningless. The only thing that can make him put down the butcher knife and sit at the negotiating table is another, more powerful sword."

Ryuga nodded involuntarily.

Konan's eyes sparkled with light, and she looked at Haruki admiringly.

So amazing!

Haruki!

[Ding!]

"The wars I have experienced, the strength I have gained, have made me realize that I must forge such a sword."

"The purpose of this sword is not for slaughter, but to force all those who do not want to talk to sit down and talk."

"This sword levels the playing field of bullying the weak, creating an equal platform necessary for dialogue."

If his wrist weren't immobile, Ryuga would have wanted to applaud Haruki's words.

Haruki's gaze swept over Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko in turn, finally resting on Ryuga.

"We are all victims of war, orphans created by war. We know the cost of war, and it is precisely because we have endured such pain and torment that we want to try another path."

"I do not deny strength, but merely wish to redefine the purpose of strength."

"Strength is not for conquest, but for protection."

"Strength is not to instill fear, but to bring peace of mind."

"I do not deny past wars, because the sacrifices on the battlefield were all meaningful."

"The passing of comrades is not for an endless cycle of revenge, but for creating a world where such sacrifices are no longer needed."

"The dialogue I advocate is by no means weakness, but a clear-headed, rational act guaranteed by powerful strength."

"I don't want a life-or-death struggle. I just want all people in the Ninja World to prosper together."

After saying so much in one breath, Haruki's lungs felt like they were about to burst.
