In the story, Lisa and Jean explain the current situation regarding Mondstadt's dragon crisis to the Traveler and reveal that they have discovered the source of the dragon's power.
This immediately piques Jean and Lisa's interest.
Haven't they been searching for this very thing all along?
The book states that the source of Stormterror's power lies in the temples of the Four Winds.
"This... Did the East Wind Guardian burn itself out from the very beginning?"
"Does it hate Mondstadt that much?" Jean says, somewhat dejected.
"Jean..." Lisa is about to offer comfort, but before she can speak, Jean speaks first.
"No, I refuse to believe that Mondstadt's East Wind Guardian would betray Mondstadt. There must be more to this!"
Jean's gaze is firm. As the Knights of Favonius, Mondstadt's West Wind Guardians, they would never doubt the resolve of the East Wind Guardian.
This is also why the Knights of Favonius have always been reluctant to harm Stormterror—Dvalin.
Lisa smiles. This is the Jean she knows—earnest, serious, and dedicated, but not unreasonable.
Meanwhile, Amber has already read up to this point. Without hesitation, she sets off for the temples of the Four Winds.
Of course, though impulsive, she's no fool. She doesn't plan to charge in alone.
As a Outrider, she simply intends to scout the surroundings of the temples and clear out any monsters along the way.
"The source of power is the temples of the Four Winds?" Kaeya mutters to himself, though he's clearly saying it for Diluc's benefit.
Sure enough, while Diluc appears indifferent, wiping a glass without even glancing over, he's already calculating a trip to the temples in his mind.
Diluc doesn't fully believe that the book's contents are prophecies of the future.
But he's willing to act on the possibility, as long as it benefits Mondstadt.
Moreover, the book doesn't just reveal the source of Dvalin's power—it even details the traps and monsters in each temple.
Lucian believes the temple mechanisms shouldn't be a major issue, but he's less confident about the number of monsters.
After all, the real Teyvat is much larger than in the game, and the number of monsters is far greater.
So Lucian doesn't specify exact numbers, only listing the types of monsters that appear, which should be roughly accurate.
The power within a single temple isn't overwhelming, so the monsters attracted to it wouldn't be too strong either.
Presumably, it's similar to the game—just some Hilichurls and Slimes.
"Lisa!"
"Yes, I'll go find Kaeya right away," Lisa nods.
This book is the ultimate guide. Since the answers are already there, they might as well make good use of them.
But since the Traveler hasn't arrived yet, they'll need to make extra preparations—like bringing more people, perhaps?
Unfortunately, Mondstadt's biggest problem right now is the shortage of personnel. If absolutely necessary, they might have to call Noelle.
In terms of strength alone, Noelle is absolutely qualified to be a knight.
But her inability to say no to others has kept Jean from officially promoting her.
Jean worries that if Noelle becomes a full-fledged knight and goes out on missions, something might happen—like being tricked by bad people.
But if Noelle needs someone to accompany her on every mission, she can't really be considered a full knight either.
"Sigh, I really hope our little cutie arrives soon."
Now Lisa understands why she was so welcoming of the Traveler in the book.
The Traveler's arrival truly solves Mondstadt's urgent need for manpower. They really are the perfect tool.
Skilled, intelligent, capable, with no background or conflicting interests, and no risk of being a spy from another nation—could there be a better tool than this?
As Lisa heads to the tavern, she wonders when the Traveler will arrive. As for Kaya's whereabouts?
No need to guess—when Kaeya isn't working, he's usually there.
Just then, a carrier pigeon flies over Lisa's head, catching her attention.
"Is this... Amber's pigeon? Does she have something urgent to report to Jean?"
Lisa quickens her pace. She needs to bring Kaeya along to witness the drama—no, to gather intelligence.
The pigeon lands on the windowsill of Jean's office, pecking at the glass as if knocking.
Jean naturally notices the commotion and opens the window to retrieve the letter attached to the pigeon.
'I've met the Traveler!'
The letter bears these bold words.
As it turns out, on her way to the temples of the Four Winds, Amber happened to spot the Traveler and Paimon practicing Anemo powers while walking.
A golden-haired traveler and a mysterious floating companion—such a striking duo makes it impossible to mistake them for anyone else.
"What?!" Jean is both shocked and delighted.
Delighted because the Traveler's arrival is clearly a boon for Mondstadt.
Shocked because if the Traveler is almost here, doesn't that mean Stormterror's attack on the city is imminent?
In reality, it's not that urgent. The Traveler has only just reached Starfell Lake.
The real Mondstadt is quite vast. Even traveling in a straight line from Starfell Lake to Mondstadt City would take several days, not to mention the large forest in between.
Amber just happened to be at Windrise, en route to the temples, when she passed by Starfell Lake and encountered the Traveler.
Normally, the journey from Windrise to Starfell Lake would take some time.
But Amber never takes the conventional path—she simply glided down from above, which is how she coincidentally ran into the Traveler.
At this point, Lumine has only just obtained her elemental powers and is still practicing, with no immediate plans to head to Mondstadt City.
When faced with the Traveler and Paimon, Amber feels the same way Lucian did—that she's unilaterally familiar with them.
Fortunately, Amber is an enthusiastic and sociable girl, and she quickly hits it off with the Traveler and Paimon.
Out of curiosity and to verify the book's contents, Amber asks, "By the way, is Paimon your mascot?"
"No, she's emergency food!" Lumine replies without hesitation, suddenly finding her voice.
"Absolutely not!! That's even worse than a mascot!!" Paimon stomps her feet midair.
"We're friends! We're friends, right?!"
Lumine smiles but doesn't argue. Of course, she already considers Paimon a friend.
She only said that to tease the little Paimon.
"Same answer as in the book..." Amber is now completely convinced of the book's authenticity.
"Book? What book?" Paimon asks curiously.
"Paimon... can you even read?" Lumine asks, genuinely curious.
"Don't underestimate me! Of course I can read!" Paimon crosses her arms and lifts her chin proudly.
"It's a prophecy book that predicted your arrival," Amber explains.
"A book that amazing really exists? If we befriend the author, could we learn about the future?"
Paimon's eyes sparkle, as if she's already envisioning money-making opportunities.
"Prophecies?" Lumine is also intrigued. She wonders if the book contains any clues about her brother.
"Hmm, now's not the time to read the book. Anyway, I'll take you to Mondstadt City first." Amber feels a slight sense of urgency.
After all, in her view, doesn't the Traveler's appearance mean Stormterror is about to attack Mondstadt City?
She must hurry back to support the city. Even if the Traveler doesn't help, she needs to be there to face the crisis.

Character Voice · Traveler: About the Prophecy Book
Paimon: "Such an incredible book! It's just a shame there's no news about your brother."
Lumine: "It's fine. I can keep searching."
Paimon: "Why don't we just ask the author directly? He seems to know so much."
Lumine: "Good idea, Paimon!"
Lumine: "Another quest added: Find the author of the prophecy book."
