Simon Sterling walked out of the main hall's door. He lifted his head and saw the distant warm sun. Clearly, winter had passed, yet the wind felt chillingly cold.
Three months, it's been three months since she went missing!
"Dad."
Felicity Sterling and Mrs. Sterling, who were waiting in the corridor, saw him exit and walked over.
Felicity spoke first, "I bought a painting for Grandpa, can I give it to him?"
While speaking, Felicity turned her head expectantly towards the main hall.
She had been to the old estate numerous times, but the doors of the main hall were forbidden for her to step past.
The old man doesn't like her; Felicity understands that as a granddaughter, she doesn't have the affection of the elder.
Mrs. Sterling taught her to be observant, so when the old man refused to see her, she dared not throw a tantrum. Instead, she cautiously watched Mr. Sterling.
"Give the painting to Butler Lowell."
