Before Sean Lockwood could answer, Zoe Quinn was already getting anxious.
She had followed along to attend the Morgan Family's banquet just so she could cozy up to Old Mrs. Lockwood, then wait for the banquet to end and go back to the Lockwood Family home with her.
Earlier, when Sean suggested taking her back to the Lockwood Family, Old Mrs. Lockwood hadn't objected.
So what was going on now? Was it because she'd said something bad about Anna Morgan and upset the old lady?
Anna wasn't anyone to her anyway! This old woman really couldn't tell who was closer or farther, why was she protecting Anna so much?
"You two can go."
Old Mrs. Lockwood said coldly. She got into the car and ignored Sean and Zoe.
Sean wasn't as reckless as he used to be. After he married Zoe, he was kicked out of the Lockwood Family, and later Felix Lockwood caused trouble and was kicked out too.
At first, he'd been very proud, refusing to go back.
