So she didn't notice that the villagers in the courtyard had already seen through her little schemes.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Fu's expectations were about to be dashed.
Mr. Fu, an honest and taciturn man, didn't know how to lie or make up stories.
When he noticed his wife's eyes looking his way, Mr. Fu frowned immediately.
Seeing Mr. Fu catch her gaze, Mrs. Fu was filled with hope, believing that no matter how dull he was, they were still husband and wife for many years, and surely Mr. Fu would unconditionally side with her.
But just as Mrs. Fu looked on expectantly, Mr. Fu slowly opened his mouth and said something that left everyone astonished.
Upon hearing it, Mrs. Fu was about to fall apart, not expecting Mr. Fu to say such things.
