A gentle touch transmits from the hand Ruan Li is clenching.
Zhe Ye holds her tightly clenched fist and says, "Are you feeling scared?"
Ruan Li shakes her head, "What is there to be scared of?"
"I thought you'd be afraid upon seeing their gruesome wounds. But now it seems I was mistaken." Zhe Ye says as he opens Ruan Li's clenched hand, his long fingers slipping between her fingers, the rough calluses on his fingertips distinctly felt against her soft palm.
"They are admirable warriors."
A light flashes in Zhe Ye's gray eyes as he looks at Ruan Li, like a weary traveler lost in the night fog suddenly illuminated by a brilliant light.
The car stops at the side door of the rescue center; Zhe Ye takes Ruan Li out of the car and lightly knocks on the side door a few times.
The side door opens, revealing a somewhat tired face of a delicate-looking young female.
Her eyes fall on the two of them, and she knowingly nods, "You're here, come on in."
