In the oppressive, pitch-black depths of the ocean, an ugly, enormous corpse-like octopus was enveloped in blinding light, its decaying body emitting clouds of white smoke.

It flailed its tentacles, letting out agonized screeches, dragging the female, trying to slam her to death.

The shoulder struck the ground forcefully, producing a tooth-aching cracking sound.

Wen Shu furrowed her brow in pain, her sharp claws deeply embedded in its tentacles, her palms glowing even brighter. She couldn't breathe, her vision spinning.

Until she was about to faint, the tentacle around her waist finally relaxed.

She quickly withdrew her claws, wanting to swim to the surface, but her limbs had no strength, and her mouth and nose inhaled large volumes of seawater.

Before her vision went completely dark, she saw the giant octopus reveal a pair of bewildered black eyes.

Her heavy body gradually sank toward the deep sea.
