Sun Hang heard the noise in the sewer early on, but the "Mud Monster" emerged from the sewer much later than Sun Hang had anticipated.
Why was it delayed? Was it to coordinate with those outside attackers for a surprise assault?
Probably not... the opponent was waiting, waiting for Sun Hang to draw the curtains and provide a sufficient field of view!
Crawling inside the sewer pipes doesn't require a view; all you need to do is crawl forward along the pipes. Yet, even so, the Mud Monster was crashing around like a headless fly inside the pipes, creating a tremendous noise...
To attack the two people inside the house, a clear view is essential...
"It seems my earlier speculations were all correct... Then the opponent's hiding place should only be in one of those few rooms..."
Sun Hang suddenly shot up and crashed towards the seventh floor of one of the buildings!
