Auntie Li leaned against the hospital bed, watching the branches outside the window that had just started to show some green.
Just then, the door of the ward opened, and her husband walked in, followed by a tall and strong young man, which made her pause in surprise.
Wang Fan entered the ward following Mr. Chang, holding in his hand a freshly cooked pot of pork knuckle rice noodles.
With Mr. Chang's current condition, Wang Fan was really not comfortable having him carry such heavy things alone, so he simply helped deliver them, as he did not need to watch the store anyway.
Wang Fan placed the items on the bedside table and said to the puzzled Auntie Li, "Hello Auntie, these are the pork knuckle rice noodles I just made. I was worried Mr. Chang couldn't carry them alone, so I helped bring them over."
Auntie Li looked at Wang Fan compassionately and said with a smile, "Thank you so much, young man, you're really handsome."
