Jiang Qi walked beside Shen Yi alongside the lake path. Jiang Qi had been nagging and disturbing the boy for so long that Shen Yi finally gave in, his expression clearly annoyed as he agreed to get something to eat.
Since both of them did not have enough money to buy proper foodstuffs, Shen Yi decided to bring him to the lake instead, to do some fishing.
Jiang Qi leaned closer, lowering his voice with a grin. "Kid, do you know how to fish?"
Shen Yi did not even look at him. His reply was short and cold. "A little."
Jiang Qi nodded in response, but as he turned his head to look around, his eyes caught sight of a familiar figure among the few men by the water's edge. They were unwrapping large fishing nets and checking the ropes. The figure Jiang Qi recognized was the doctor from the previous night.
"Doctor!" Jiang Qi called out.
The man lifted his head at once and waved. Jiang Qi and Shen Yi walked over to him. The doctor's face lit up in surprise when he saw them.
