Shen Yi entered the bedroom but his face had grown darker than the night. He knew it. Jiang Qi had lied to him. As for how he found out, it was simple. With Jiang Qi's worry, there was no way he would go for hours without checking up on him. It had been like that for the past five days. Every single hour, Jiang Qi would send a text or even call just to make sure Shen Yi was fine. So, now that he was saying his phone was out of battery, for five hours, Shen Yi knew he was lying.
Even then, Shen Yi knew Jiang Qi had his own reason and so he chose to remain silent for the time being. But still, he felt a little hurt. He only hoped nothing like this would happen again. As much as Jiang Qi wanted to protect him from this whole Huang Kai ordeal, so did Shen Yi want to keep him safe.
Shen Yi walked over to the bed and sat down, quietly telling himself that he hoped whatever it was Jiang Qi was hiding would not backfire.
