Shen Yi rested his elbow on the dining table and leaned his head on his fist. His eyes were fixed on Jiang Qi, who sat beside him quietly eating. Shen Yi's food sat untouched. Jiang Qi, however, acted as if he didn't notice Shen Yi's gaze burning holes into him. He kept eating calmly, pretending not to feel it. But the longer it went on, the more aware he became of those eyes following every move he made.
Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He turned his head mid-chew and met Shen Yi's eyes.
Shen Yi smiled softly at him.
Jiang Qi blinked, startled by the sudden warmth of that smile, and quickly turned back to his food. He picked up his tablet on the table, typed something fast, then turned it around for Shen Yi to see: Stop staring and eat.
Shen Yi glanced at the tablet, then back at him. His smile widened slightly.
"I'm not that hungry," he said casually.
