Synopsis
Kazanami Tatsukawa, a young man whose life promised to be as bright as a thousand suns, suddenly finds himself in an existential void after a death as absurd as it is unfortunate, caused by negligence in a carnival game. His shining future, which included a long-awaited confession of love, has been brutally snatched away, leaving only deep bitterness and uncontrollable anger towards those who robbed him of his happiness.Trapped in an endless nothingness, Kazanami confronts an enigmatic and rude voice that presents him with a macabre game of fate: a gigantic "Wheel of Fortune" that will determine his future. While some options seem to offer a glimmer of hope — such as "going back to the past" or "traveling to a fantasy world" — most are unimaginable horrors, nightmares forged in the deepest abyss. From being dismembered alive without the blessing of unconsciousness, to burning eternally in the flames of hell or being the puppet of a cosmic entity. The possibilities are a pure torment. As the wheel slowly turns, each revealed option intensifies Kazanami's panic, who realizes the true magnitude of the curse hanging over him. Will this young man, consumed by resentment and fear, manage to escape the clutches of such a cruel fate, or will he be doomed to an eternity of agony and despair?

Chapter 1 - Bingo

I still remember it, clear as water, a resplendent past with hopes of a stellar future, more blinding than a thousand suns, but… it all ended. That dazzling future was defiled with blood, blood darker than tar, capable of stealing hope, capable of creating torments… and all because? Because some bastard didn't properly check the safety belt of the damned ride. I mean, bastard, can't you see the damn ride says "mortal" in its very damn name?

"Hey, don't you think you should focus more on this? I mean, this literally decides your future, the one you were so proud of, hahaha… hurry up, heh heh." A crude voice came from nowhere, where… curiously, there was nothing, besides the great me, obviously.

"Thanks for recognizing me, that's why I'll spare you a bit of bad fortune." I think… I mean, I feel like the voice is looking at the clouds right now.

"Ahem, stop getting distracted and look behind you, quickly, time's running out." Time's not running out for me, you just embarrassed yourself, but I won't tell you, because I know you already heard it, hahaha.

"Bastard, don't push your luck and turn around right now!" I'm going… I'm going, hahaha, but you didn't deny it, and… what the hell is this huge, cursed copy of "Wheel of Fortune"?

"That's your future, my good friend. With that, you'll decide fairly, though not really, since I took out the worst options from there. And if it somehow still lands on a negative outcome, your luck will truly be cursed, though obviously, I don't care, as I'll just have more fun watching you here." How the hell am I going to move something so big? I don't even have hands… but more importantly… there goes the resplendent future I had… I hear it saying goodbye to me as it flies away (ToT), because something like this has to happen to me on the day I died in such an unfortunate way. Today I was going to declare my love to the person of my life, do you know that?

"Shut up and spin the wheel, maybe you'll get something good." Good? Good would have been not ending up in this silence, having to decide my future with a cheap knockoff of a TV show. I hadn't even confessed yet, do you know how long I'd waited to tell her? Almost 14 years without being able to declare myself, and all because? Because her cowardly bastard father ran off with another woman and her mom took her away! Damn bastard, I hope your balls turn blue for the rest of your life and you go bald from the stress of discovering your damn wife is a slut and you find her with three bums, ptui! There went my damn childhood love!

"You really had that bottled up, didn't you? Hahaha." That very bastard deserves that curse and more. He stole the only light in my life, simply because he thought he could have a harem. Invalid bastard couldn't even handle one, ugh, sorry, I always get furious whenever I remember it.

"It doesn't matter, just spin the wheel and you'll see your destiny." How do I spin it? That's the big unknown of the moment, because I remind you, I don't even have hands.

"Just say 'start' and 'stop,' that thing has a minuscule consciousness, it only understands those two commands and nothing else." Quite easy, I thought I'd have to spend an eternity spinning that and that would be the end of my destiny.

"Start!" My voice, deeper than usual, came from all directions, yet nowhere at the same time; that experience felt extremely weird.

Slowly, despairingly slow in fact, the wheel began to spin. For the first time in my entire stay in the infinite void, I began to pay attention to the giant wheel. It seemed endless due to all the possibilities within it. Among them, the ones that seemed most interesting, though I'd only seen a few, hahaha, stood out: "return to the past," "take over your future/past body," "travel to a medieval fantasy world," "travel to an apocalypse"… those were some of the good ones, but when I started looking for the bad ones, my blood ran cold with fear. If those were the good ones among the bad, then the worst options were pure agony, nightmares forged in the deepest abyss: "to be dismembered alive, with every scream increasing the torture and never the blessing of unconsciousness," "to burn eternally in the flames of hell, the pain exponentially amplifying each century, your soul condemned to endless agony and no adaptation," "to be a slave in every incarnation, each life a hell of servitude, humiliation, and the worst imaginable situations," "to fall deeply in love only to be ceaselessly betrayed, again and again, treason gnawing at your spirit like a perpetual poison, a curse clinging to your soul for all eternity," "to be the living puppet of a cosmic entity, your body and mind used for indescribable purposes, conscious of every horror, yet powerless to stop it," "wandering as an empty echo, witnessing the happiness of all your loved ones, unable to communicate an iota of your existence, a shadow condemned to eternal solitude." Shit.

"Are you… are you sure these aren't the worst… right?" I asked, my voice trembling with panic, seeing the worst things that could happen to me if the wheel stopped on them.

"Hahahaha… obviously I did. Do you want to see just one glimpse of the mildest thing that could happen to you?" The crude voice… I mean, and I correct myself, the demon, whispered in my ear, its voice carrying a glacial chill and an abyssal feeling that pierced through my entire soul. I can only compare that feeling to the coldest thing any human could ever discover during their minuscule existence, and it filled me with such dread, like the infinite blackness of space that hides behind a dark bed countless mysteries and beings beyond human understanding, beings so terrifying they corrode the sanity of those who dare to leave the small, sunny yard they inhabited… and it seems… that the exit from that yard is death.

"Bingo"—how I hate being right.
