Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Uchiha Flame Fan

The Uchiha Flame Fan was the heirloom of the Uchiha clan leader during the Warring States Period. It could be used for close combat or to enhance the power of fire-style ninjutsu when fanned from a distance.

In the Naruto storyline, the Uchiha Flame Fan first appeared during the Warring States Period when Uchiha Madara fought against Hashirama Senju. Considering that this fan was made from a part of the Divine Tree, it was likely crafted during the era of the Sage of Six Paths.

The Uchiha Flame Fan was probably one of the weapons left behind by the Sage of Six Paths, just like the other Six Paths Tools. However, the fan was obtained by Indra and passed down within the Uchiha clan, while the Six Paths Tools were inherited by the Land of Lightning.

Another ability of the fan was to reflect damage. The extent of this reflection depended on the user's skill.

Uchiha Ryun held the Flame Fan, feeling its weight as he sorted through the information in his mind. The corners of his lips curled up. 'My great-uncle is really generous, gifting me such a divine artifact without hesitation.'

He stored it in his system space and pushed open the door. Moonlight spilled into the courtyard as Ryun walked out, noticing that some kind of event was taking place in the clan.

The Fourth Elder and the Great Elder were sparring, though it was just hand-to-hand combat. The Second Elder was drinking, clearly slightly drunk.

Uchiha Hirotomo sat at the front, watching the two elders with drowsy eyes, until he noticed Uchiha Ryun approaching.

The Second Elder looked toward Ryun. With his long black hair and deep blue kimono, Ryun walked forward. Under the influence of alcohol, the Second Elder's vision blurred slightly, and his face turned pale. "Madara... Madara-sama, you... you've returned!"

The name "Madara" made everyone—whether it was the Great Elder and Fourth Elder in the middle of their fight, Clan Leader Uchiha Hirotomo, or the younger generation of the Uchiha—turn their heads toward the Second Elder's line of sight.

"Madara? What Madara? I'm Ryun. Second Elder, you're drunk, talking nonsense!" Ryun rolled his eyes at him.

Hearing this, the Second Elder opened his mouth slightly, his expression complicated. He stood up and bowed to Clan Leader Hirotomo, requesting to leave early.

Hirotomo nodded, as if having made a decision. He waved at Ryun. "Ryun, come sit here." He pointed to the empty seat beside him.

Ryun nodded and followed Hirotomo's instruction, taking the seat next to him.

"Yesterday, the families of the fallen Uchiha shinobi received their compensation. Everyone was happy, so I decided to hold a clan bonfire gathering tonight." Hirotomo's gaze shifted to the sparring Great Elder and Fourth Elder.

"Hmm, Clan Leader is far-sighted." Ryun nodded, then picked up the tea beside him and took a sip. His mouth was a bit dry after just waking up.

"Ryun, there's something I should tell you. About your origins." Hirotomo decided to reveal Ryun's true identity today.

Even if he didn't, Ryun's intelligence would eventually lead him to the truth. A glint flashed in Ryun's eyes. "My origins? Do I have some kind of significant background?"

Ryun pretended not to know, though he had long been aware of his identity. Since neither the Hokage nor the clan leader had mentioned it, he acted oblivious.

Hirotomo nodded. "To be precise, it's quite significant. Your grandfather was Uchiha Izuna, and your great-uncle was Uchiha Madara, the former Uchiha clan leader and a legendary shinobi."

Ryun frowned. "Clan Leader, are you serious?" He looked at Hirotomo with skepticism.

Hirotomo nodded. "Yes. Otherwise, why do you think the Great Elder, Third Elder, and Fifth Elder were so excited when they first saw you?"

"They were once part of the hawk faction, hoping for a clan leader like Uchiha Madara to lead the Uchiha clan to seize power. Your appearance gave them hope." Hirotomo explained slowly.

"And what does Clan Leader think of my identity? Don't you feel threatened?" Ryun smiled.

In terms of bloodline, he was the legitimate heir of the main family, while Hirotomo was merely a representative elected from a branch family. Though called the clan leader, he lacked full authority.

"I don't mind. I only wish for the Uchiha clan to unite. A united Uchiha is invincible. Now, you've achieved that, and done far better than I ever could. If you wish, you can take the position of clan leader anytime." Hirotomo spoke sincerely.

Ryun was momentarily stunned. He hadn't expected Hirotomo to say such a thing.

After thinking for a while, Ryun shook his head. "No, I'm not interested in the clan leader position. Hirotomo-sama, don't bring this up again."

Ryun stood up and stretched. He walked onto the training platform and raised his hands to stop the fight between the Fourth Elder and the Great Elder.

The two elders paused, looking at Ryun's hands, which gripped them like iron clamps, making it impossible to break free. They exchanged a glance and simultaneously struck at Ryun.

Ryun grinned. "Good!" He released his grip, kicked off the ground, and struck their attacking hands with his feet.

Using the force from their strikes, he leaped into the air before diving down, throwing a punch at the ground.

His minor Sage Body provided him with endless strength. The punch caused the training platform's floor to bulge upward, the shockwave making the Great Elder and Fourth Elder stumble.

By the time they steadied themselves, Ryun had already vanished.

A sudden "Oof!" sounded as the Fourth Elder was kicked off the platform by Ryun, the force just enough to avoid serious injury.

The Great Elder turned toward the sound, only to see Ryun charging at him. He instantly activated his three-tomoe Sharingan, doubling his agility.

He had no choice—Ryun was too monstrous. He had to use his Sharingan to keep up.

Ryun was surprised. 'This old man activated his Sharingan? Then I can speed up.'

At first, the Great Elder could easily dodge Ryun's movements with his three-tomoe Sharingan. But as time passed, Ryun's speed kept increasing.

Gradually, even the Sharingan couldn't track him. The Great Elder's heart pounded. 'This is bad!' In the blink of an eye, Ryun disappeared from his sight.

On the battlefield, this meant danger was imminent! Instinctively, he rolled forward, narrowly avoiding Ryun's kick.

Ryun was impressed. 'Not bad!' He followed up, striking the Great Elder before he could regain his footing.

The Great Elder collapsed, unable to fight back, breathing heavily.

Seeing this, Ryun's left eye revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan. "Revival." A green light enveloped the Great Elder, quickly restoring his chakra and healing his injuries completely.
