Chapter 428 - Chapter 427: The Full Moon Banquet Officially Begins (Blue Bird)

Ryun Uchiha brought Nara Luming back to the Hokage building. The two men smiled at each other simultaneously. It seemed their daughter, the little princess, had quite a reputation, even the Akatsuki organization had prepared generous gifts.

"Luming, I'll need you to put in more effort for the matters ahead," Ryun instructed.

"Don't worry, I will definitely handle the little princess's Full Moon Banquet well," Nara Luming said with a chuckle.

"Alright, then I'll head back now to be with my daughter and wife." After saying this, Ryun's figure vanished in an instant.

Nara Luming returned to the Hokage building, turned on the computer, and looked at the camera feeds. At the same time, he called for four shinobi, who also opened computers to monitor four different areas.

Security for the Full Moon Banquet was the top priority. Managing security well meant the banquet was half successful.

Just then, a staff member spoke up, "Lord Luming, the people from Kumogakure have all taken to the streets. Moreover, they all have shifty, sneaky looks in their eyes."

Hearing this, Nara Luming stood up. He went to the staff member's side and looked at the computer screen. He saw a shinobi wearing a Kumogakure headband looking around in all directions.

In the next moment, that shinobi's eyes lit up, and he quickened his pace. Luming began pulling up all the surveillance footage from that area.

"Who is the shinobi he is following? Does anyone recognize him?" Nara Luming asked.

"This person, I think I know him. He is called Hyūga Chiyun, a very ordinary Hyūga genin," one of the staff members said seriously.

"Hyūga Chiyun? Wait, look." Nara Luming pointed at the screen.

They saw Hyūga Chiyun knock on a door. Then, another Hyūga girl came out from inside. The two embraced and finally entered the room together.

The Kumogakure shinobi, upon seeing there was another Hyūga, couldn't help but tremble all over. He took out paper and pen and began writing something down.

Nara Luming frowned and zoomed in the camera. The content he was writing became clearly visible.

It was a map. The starting point was... the Kumogakure lodgings.

Could it be? Nara Luming broke out in a cold sweat. He started replaying the recordings and mapped out the routes of all the other Kumogakure shinobi. Finally, sweating profusely, he confirmed one thing.

Kumogakure had come with ill intentions. They sent out scouts at noon to case the place. And all the targets being cased had one characteristic. They were Hyūga.

It was easy to deduce one thing. Kumogakure wanted to use the occasion of the little princess's Full Moon Banquet to steal the Byakugan of the Hyūga clan. Damn it, the sky is falling.

Celebrating for the little princess was a pretense. Stealing Konoha's Byakugan was the real goal. If Ryun hadn't ordered the village to install 360 degree, no blind spot surveillance cameras for today, they truly wouldn't have been able to find out this much.

"Continue monitoring. I need to make a call." After saying this, Nara Luming walked out.

It wasn't that he wanted to disturb Ryun so soon, but this matter involved too many people and was too significant. Furthermore, it involved the Third Raikage, A, whose strength in the shinobi world was ranked second only to Ryun Uchiha.

"Ring, ring, ring." The phone rang, then paused, and a familiar voice came through the receiver.

"Hello? What is it?" Ryun spoke first. He was also curious why Luming was calling him so soon after he had just returned.

"Lord Hokage, just now, while reviewing the footage, I discovered something, a major thing..." Nara Luming told Ryun everything he had just discovered.

Ryun's eyebrow raised. He nodded, patted Tsunade's hand, and then said, "Alright, I understand the situation. I will send a Wood Clone to keep an eye on them."

"Yes." Nara Luming breathed a sigh of relief. He knew how powerful Ryun was. If Ryun said one Wood Clone was enough, then one Wood Clone was enough to handle everything.

Then Ryun hung up the phone, rubbed the bridge of his nose, and shook his head.

"Husband, did something happen?" Tsunade's brow revealed worry. She was afraid that their daughter's Full Moon Banquet might bring trouble to Konoha, which would be bad.

"No, just some minor matters. Don't worry, wife." After saying this, he formed a hand seal with one hand. With a 'poof', a puff of smoke appeared, then slowly dissipated. A figure walked out from within.

It was Ryun's Shadow Clone. It exchanged a look with the original. Ryun nodded, and the Shadow Clone instantly vanished without a trace.

Ryun then explained the reason to Tsunade. Tsunade frowned. "Husband, maybe you should take action personally. Can just one clone really capture all of Kumogakure, including the Third Raikage, in one net?"

"Relax, wife. That Shadow Clone just now was formed using eighty percent of my chakra. It's no problem. Even if something happens, I will sense it immediately and go to support it." Ryun stroked her cheek.

Tsunade's face flushed red. She nodded, then lightly hit Ryun's chest. "You bad man. Then hurry up and recover your chakra. Eighty percent is no small amount."

"It's already recovered. Could it be my wife has forgotten my physique? Sage Body and Samsara." Ryun gave a sly smile.

Tsunade, seemingly thinking of something, blushed deeply. "Husband, it's been a long time since we... that... tonight..."

Ryun nodded. "Of course we can. But not tonight. We'll have to wait a couple of days. There are too many people and too many matters to handle right now."

"With our daughter's Full Moon Banquet and Konoha being open to visitors, all the monsters and demons from every village are coming out of the woodwork." Ryun sighed. Tsunade nodded and leaned against his chest.

The two of them nestled together like that.

Night fell.

The center of Konoha village was still brightly lit, even illuminating the sky considerably.

Ryun stood on the performance stage and gave a speech.

"Today is my daughter's Full Moon Banquet. I, Ryun Uchiha, welcome the representatives from every village and every nation who have come here as guests, to eat and drink." After Ryun finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted from below.

According to hierarchy, the Five Kage and their families sat at one table, their guards at another, the Daimyos at one, Jonin at one, Chunin at one, Genin at one, young prodigies at one, and civilians at one.

Soon, every seat was filled. Ryun scanned the crowd and said, "Today, besides eating and drinking, the various clans of Konoha have prepared songs and dances. They will be performed for everyone later on this very stage where I am standing."

"At midnight, I will bring my daughter up here for the object grabbing ceremony, as a kind of blessing." After Ryun finished speaking, everyone was delighted.

Everyone had heard the little princess's name, Uchiha Ju, but no one knew what she looked like, so they were naturally curious.

The stage in Konoha had a large projection screen. Just like now, Ryun's figure could be projected so everyone could see him.

Tsunade sat in the first seat of the wives' section. Holding her child, she looked at Ryun on the big screen, the corners of her mouth upturned.

Sitting next to her were Hiruzen Sarutobi's wife, Sarutobi Biwako, Hashirama Senju's wife, Uzumaki Mito, and Uchiha Izuna's wife, Pakura. These four were the most esteemed women in Konoha.

"Tsuna, let me hold Roro." Uzumaki Mito looked expectantly at Uchiha Ju in Tsunade's arms, her eyes filled with affection.

Tsunade nodded and carefully handed Uchiha Ju to her grandmother. Uzumaki Mito looked at Uchiha Ju's fair little face and long eyelashes. Her eyes smiled into narrow slits.

"Tsuna, come back to the Senju clan grounds more often in the future. Remember to bring Roro. You can't just not visit your family home after getting a husband. Your grandfather and I miss you terribly." Uzumaki Mito looked at Tsunade, waiting for her answer.

Tsunade broke out in a cold sweat. Previously, when she went home to spend time with Mito, Mito would say that a married woman should spend more time with her husband and not come back so often.

But now, because of Uchiha Ju, it seemed she had regained the privilege of visiting her family home. Even Mito couldn't escape the 'truth' of grandparental favoritism.

Uchiha Ju suddenly opened her eyes, then reached out her little hand towards Uzumaki Mito's face. Tsunade was startled. Why was this child touching so recklessly?

Then she pinched Mito's face, beaming with smiles. Uzumaki Mito wasn't angry at all. She let Uchiha Ju pinch her face, and she herself gave Uchiha Ju occasional kisses on the cheek.

Uchiha Ju laughed joyfully. She liked her great-grandmother very much. And great-grandmother Uzumaki Mito's heart melted. Women are emotional creatures, especially towards their own descendants.

Tsunade was just about to say something to stop this, but Mito glanced at her, and Tsunade immediately became obedient, pouting.

Sarutobi Biwako looked on with envy. She knew how to read bone structure. Judging from Uchiha Ju's bone structure, she would definitely grow into a great beauty. She also really wanted to hold her.

Ryun's voice sounded again. "I declare the Full Moon Banquet officially open. The first song will be from me, to start things off."

"The song is called Blue Bird."

Tsunade was stunned. The first performance was actually by her husband. He hadn't mentioned it. This guy. Secretly doing big things again. But now, listening to the song was most important.

Unconsciously, Tsunade sat up straight and looked at the big screen.

Uzumaki Mito also looked up at the big screen. She hadn't expected Ryun to sing. She glanced at Tsunade and saw that Tsunade didn't know either.

Finally, she smiled, feeling slightly expectant.

Then they heard Ryun begin to sing.

When you spread your wings and fly, be determined not to look back.

The goal we yearn for is that deep blue, blue sky.

We have never truly understood the taste of 'sadness'.

But we have already begun to explore the meaning of 'pain'.

Even this feeling in my heart for you,

Right now, turns into a thousand, ten thousand words...

Ryun was not wearing his Hokage robe now, but a tailcoat. His voice was clear and resonant, making the listeners feel very excited.

The song was about a bird yearning to fly towards the sky. This 'bird' could mean many things. The Hyūga branch family interpreted it as themselves. They were moved to tears, shouting "Long live the Hokage" from below.

The young people thought of themselves, destined one day to soar through the skies and carve out their own place in the world.

As for the girls, their eyes sparkled as they looked at Ryun. "Lord Ryun. Lord Ryun. Lord Ryun." They didn't understand how a man could be so handsome, and even more charming after marriage.

The song continued. The audience below fell into a frenzy. The Anbu had to start organizing crowd control. They also thought the Hokage sang well, but they hadn't expected it to make people so crazy.
