I hurriedly got done and ran up to my room to have a good cry, so I can feel better about my situation. I took a long nap thereafter and returned to the kitchen to assist with making dinner.
The evening went smoothly and if anyone could see I did not seem or look like my usual self then thank GOD because they said nothing. I helped serve since the lady that was supposed to serve tonight covered my shift when I went to my room.
I made eye contact with Logan once, not willingly but because I felt him staring at me continuously. He looked apologetic but I didn't want no part of it. I immediately left after serving and did not stay to see if they needed anything else. Luna Kristen didn't bother questioning me either, she just had a scowl on her face as I was making my exit.
For the next weeks went by in a blur, beside my occasional upset stomach or the nausea, It was perfectly fine otherwise. Just Logan still trying to talk to me and enter my room, which I keep locked now.
Tomorow is my birthday and I am so excited because it means I would find my mate. I hope he is not from this pack. I heard the Alpha family will be out visiting his whore's family so I am free tomorow to walk around the pack and see if I sense my mate or even smell them. If I get no smell then I know my mate is from a different pack and that means I can leave. The thought makes me smile to myself and rejoice.
The day before went rather quick, it was like the universe wanted me to find my mate as soon as possible. The night ended rather late and eventually before midnight I retired to my room. It was a hot day and the minute I got in my room, I stripped and jumped into the shower, excited about my day ahead.
Enjoying the luke warm water cascading over my now clean body, I smiled to myself and tried to imagine my mate when I felt a hot body pressed against my back. I jumped forward nearly falling when two strong hands broke my fall and pulled me back.
