Chapter 3 - The Strongest Jinchūriki System

No sooner had Uzumaki Kushina finished speaking than something terrifying happened to her. She felt all the chakra in her body vanish, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't produce any more!

Chakra is the foundation of a ninja, regardless of their type. Without it, one simply cannot become a ninja!

Panic set in for Kushina. The loss of her chakra left her utterly terrified.

So, she regretted her decision!

Kushina was a bold and fiery woman, but even she dared not voice her anger at this system.

As the time for the class introduction drew near, her anxiety grew, which was why she'd looked so uneasy earlier.

"It's just a confession! Uzumaki Kushina isn't afraid of anything!"

With a bold move, Kushina stood before the entire class and declared loudly, "My name is Uzumaki Kushina, and my goal is… to become Uchiha Yin's wife!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, Kushina could feel her cheeks burning hot enough to fry an egg.

How mortifying!

Despite her bold personality, Kushina was still capable of feeling embarrassed.

She could sense the classroom fall into dead silence, clearly stunned by her words.

But there was no choice. The system's task explicitly required her to confess during the self-introduction, or it wouldn't count.

The next moment, Kushina's face turned adorably shocked as Uchiha Yin's cold voice reached her ears.

"Sorry, I have no interest in you at all."

In an instant, an even greater wave of humiliation washed over Kushina.

She'd mustered the courage to say such embarrassing words in front of the entire class, only to be rejected outright!

The intense humiliation left Kushina furious with embarrassment!

Why reject me? Am I not pretty enough? Don't I match your taste? Don't you know how humiliating this is for me?

Though she thought this, Kushina didn't shout it out. Instead, she stormed over to Yin, sat down beside him, and glared at him with eyes that could kill.

If looks could murder, Yin would've been sliced into pieces by Kushina's gaze.

If only Kushina's system had a favorability meter, she'd realize that Yin's feelings for her weren't as low as he made them seem.

Kushina appeared rarely in the original story, but her moments were always memorable and unique.

Her optimism, positivity, and bold, unyielding spirit made her impossible not to love.

Of course, the current Kushina was just a 7 or 8-year-old loli, so Yin wasn't interested in her yet. Still, that didn't stop him from having a soft spot for her.

So why did Yin coldly reject her?

The moment Kushina confessed, Yin felt not excitement, but suspicion.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. Something felt off.

Kushina ticked three boxes of suspicion, which was clearly abnormal!

Though he didn't know exactly what was wrong, Yin was aware that Kushina had been chosen as the next Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. She was undoubtedly under constant surveillance by the Anbu, and even Hiruzen Sarutobi might be observing everything through a telescope jutsu.

If Yin accepted, it would be suicidal!

He'd immediately attract Hiruzen's attention, followed by Orochimaru, Danzō, the Council of Elders, and every ninja clan…

He'd end up living under constant surveillance!

That wasn't the life Yin wanted.

He didn't want to live every day being watched, every move filled with caution.

Of course, this was because Yin's current strength wasn't enough. If he had power like Kaguya Otsutsuki, he'd have accepted without hesitation!

If anyone dared to lay a hand on him, Yin would chop it off entirely!

But now, he had no choice but to reject Kushina's confession, no matter how painful it was.

As for Kushina's resentful gaze, Yin didn't care in the slightest.

What's the worst that could happen? She's not going to bite me, is she?
