Chapter 3: Stormbreaker – Chu Feng Awakens the Black Thunder

The skies above the Black Ravine trembled, cloaked in a storm of dark, swirling clouds. Winds howled like tortured spirits, slicing through cliffs and peaks as if the heavens themselves were bleeding. Amid the chaotic battlefield stood Chu Feng—bloodied, broken, and terrifyingly calm.

He stood atop the corpse of a sky beast, his body cracked and burned from the earlier battle. Lightning—no, something far darker—curled around his fists like serpents made of pure wrath. His eyes glowed with a strange, ancient fire.

> "He's... standing again? No, this isn't the same Chu Feng," muttered Fang Han, hovering in the sky with narrowed eyes. "Something has awakened inside him."

Earlier, the clash had reached its peak. Lin Feng and Tang San had teamed up momentarily to suppress Chen Ye, whose Absolute Void technique was threatening to rupture dimensions. Meanwhile, Qin Chen fired a Heaven-Smiting Arrow that cracked the skies themselves.

But now, all eyes turned to one man.

Chu Feng.

From the ground beneath his feet, black lightning surged—splitting stone, shattering mountains, and forming a gigantic thunder seal. Above, a thunderous roar echoed as a black dragon formed in the storm clouds, its body etched with ancient runes.

> "That isn't normal lightning. That's... the Black Thunder of Ancestral Wrath!" exclaimed Shi Hao, backing away instinctively.

This was a power long forbidden. A cursed inheritance sealed within Chu Feng's blood by a vanished master—a being who disappeared after the fall of the Eastern Heaven Continent.

Then, deep inside Chu Feng's mind, a voice long silenced spoke:

> "You are no mere cultivator. You are the last storm of a dead world. Awaken the Thunder Core... and burn the heavens that betrayed you."

And he did.

With a scream that shook the very laws of cultivation, Chu Feng raised his hand. Black lightning descended from the clouds, not to strike him—but to become him. His skin hardened into living stone, his veins lit with thunder, and ancient sigils burned across his chest.

BOOM.

A shockwave exploded from his body, stretching miles in every direction. Mountains shattered. Sky formations cracked. Even defensive barriers made by Xu Yang and Wang Ling groaned under the pressure.

> "This… this isn't the Chu Feng we knew," whispered Nie Li, clutching his ancient book as it vibrated with fear.

Then, Chu Feng spoke—his voice deeper, layered with echoes of storms past.

> "You think this war is about glory? No. This is redemption. And I will start with you… betrayers of the sky."

And then… he vanished.

In an instant, he appeared before Chen Ye, who was mid-chant, attempting to freeze time itself. But before the void spell was cast, a bolt of black thunder pierced through reality, smashing into Chen Ye's chest.

CRACK!

Chen Ye flew backwards, his body crashing through seven mountains, leaving behind trails of black ash. Even time around him seemed warped—flickering in and out of sync.

Above, Chu Feng summoned the clouds with a single motion. The sky responded, forming a spear of thunder—jet black, humming with pure devastation.

> "Stormbreaker," he whispered, and hurled it straight at Xu Yang.

Xu Yang—the undefeated prodigy of divine laws—raised his dimensional barrier. Yet the spear tore through it like paper. The shock sent Xu Yang spiraling back, stunned.

KRAK!

For the first time, his divine domain cracked.

> "This is bad... We must stop him now!" Tang San shouted to Lin Feng and Shi Hao.

But it was already too late.

Chu Feng rose into the air again. Five black thunder dragons materialized behind him, roaring as they slithered across the skies like celestial serpents ready to devour worlds.

> "If this is a war of gods…" he whispered.

> "…then I am the curse they tried to erase."
