I didn't know if Livana had truly heard Sundi's words, but I knew that it must have helped her a lot to let out everything she had been holding inside. But before I could even respond, I heard Navy's voice loud and clear. "So this is the assassin. I don't know what your intentions are, but I won't allow you to leave this place unscathed!" He said as a massive bolt of lightning descended down from the sky, fully enveloping his body. "Navy stop!" I yelled. "Enough Sid! As a future knight, I cannot allow a murderer to just do as they please. I don't know what the two of you are doing out here, but I won't be fooled the same as you!" He roared. This guy was really pissing me off. Why won't he listen! Navy channeled all of the lighting into his hand. From his hand formed a long valiant blade of lighting. "I came up with this as a way to defeat you Sid. I call it the bolt of Excalibur. Now stand back and watch as I use it to slay this killer!" After making his proclamation clear, Navy took the lighting blade and in a flash of speed he advanced on Sundi. I jumped to get in between them but Navy kicked me in my chest sending me flying backwards across the deck. He then took his blade of lighting and slashed it down towards Sundi instead of dodging backwards, she dove forward and rolled between his legs. She then quickly regained her footing and stabbed forward with her three clawed weapon. Navy quickly deflected the stab with a swing of his sword. His wing was so heavy and powerful that it threw Sundi backwards. She managed to use the force of the blow to flip herself backward landing on her feet. She then spoke out to him for the first time, "I am not here to fight, but I will not back down. Let us see how you handle this." As she finished speaking, she held out her clawed hand and all of a sudden it looked as if she had three arms on one side of her body. They didn't look like real arms, but rather ghost-like arms that shared the same weapon. I was completely shocked at what I was seeing, because this ability was not described in the details of her blessing. That could only mean one of two things. This was either a skill she had learned or it had something to do with the weapon she was using… She got down into a stance and held her three arms back behind her. Navy could clearly tell something was about to happen, as he held his lightning blade in front of him preparing to block a string attack. Sundi burst forward with an incredible speed and lunged her actual arm forward at Navy. He blocked the first arm with his sword, but then suddenly the two other arms came thrusting forward in a delayed manner aiming at different areas of his body. Navy managed to pivot his body to dodge the second thrust, but the third arm struck forward and stabbed him in his shoulder. He flinched in pain and gritted his teeth. For a normal person, that would have ended the fight. But after training and sparring with Navy, I knew full well that Navy was actually a crazy person. Navy grinned with his gritted teeth and a ferocity in his eyes. He reached forward, quickly grabbing Sundi's arm that was stabbed through his shoulder and yelled, "LET'S SEE YOU GET OUT OF THIS ONE!" A powerful surge of lighting began building at the crest of Nav's chest. It was exploding out small bolts of lighting like some kind of unstable energy. He then yelled into the sky, "DESCEND!" And another massive bolt of lighting came shooting down towards him. I knew that if that lighting struck, Sundi could be horribly injured. I knew first hand just how powerful Navy's lighting was. It was akin to pure raw energy that could literally eviscerate you. I knew that I needed to step in and do something, but luck was on my side. Out of nowhere, I heard Pete's voice. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING NAVY!!" He shouted in confusion and frustration. Just before the second bolt of lightning struck down on Navy, Pete's eyes began to glow a fierce cerulean blue color. He reached out his hand in a striking fist motion which managed to disperse the massive bolt of lightning in the air before it could reach the two of them. The look on Navy's face was something I would be holding against him for the rest of his life. He was in utter disbelief and there was a visible sense of fear in his eyes while he looked at his father. "That is enough from the both of you. Do not make me step in." Pete said in an angered tone I had never heard from him before. "I-I understand father, I'm sorry." Navy said as he looked away from Pete with a shameful look on his face. He let go of Sundi and backed away from her slowly. He then dispersed the rest of the lighting that had formed his sword into the air where it disappeared high in the sky. Sundi turned towards Pete and said, "If you believe I will not fight you, you are mistaken. This boy has disrespected me and tried to take my life. Are you willing to pay that price for him?" She said as she pointed her clawed weapon directly at Pete. In a split second, something happened that I will never be able to forget. Pete's eyes began to glow an even brighter electric blue and small bolts of electricity began to shoot out from his eyes. He had a terrifying look on his face that truly did not suit him. Out of nowhere, Pete emitted a terrifying aura that enveloped the deck of the ship. It was killing intent. The pressure that he was exuding was so strong that I actually felt like I was struggling to breathe. Everyone there was feeling it. Sundi even fell to one knee and grasped her chest. "If you think you can threaten the life of my son in front of me, then I assume you do not care for your own life." Pete said as he began stepping towards her in a calm and terrifying manner. I knew that I needed to step in before this got any worse. I ran and stood between Sundi and Pete. "Everyone needs to stop right now. If anyone wants to kill anybody then I swear on the Gods I will sink this ship with everyone on it. You have all taken this too far." I said firmly. Pete was definitely surprised by my reaction and seemed to realize that I wasn't going to back down on this. He let out a sigh and said, "Hoooo, alright Sid. Let's all take a step back for a moment. I apologize for losing my temper." He said as he sat down on the deck and crossed his legs. I looked over to Navy and asked, "Are you alright Navy?" He was holding his shoulder where he was stabbed and said, "Yeah, I'm fine. But you're going to need to explain what's going on Sid." I walked over and reached out a hand to where Sundi was kneeling. She grabbed hold and allowed me to help her up. This whole situation was beginning to fill me with frustration. I knew that Sundi was not a bad person. I just needed to make that clear to these two to avoid any future issues. "Look, I understand that you both have a certain perspective on the Masked Syndicate. Your concerns are warranted, but Sundi is not the person you think she is. If she wanted to, she could have easily sunk this ship with her blessing. I have heard her out, and have deemed that she is trustworthy. If you don't trust me, then you need to speak up now. Sundi will answer whatever questions you may have. Will that suffice?" I said while looking at Sundi. She was hesitant, but eventually replied, "Y-yes. I will answer your questions." She then took off her three clawed weapon and placed it onto the ground and stepped back. All of a sudden, the hatch of the ship deck popped open and the heads of both Darwin and Dutch peeked out. "W-w-we trust you Sid!" Darwin said with a nervous look. Dutch then barked as if agreeing with Darwin. I couldn't help but crack a smile. I was glad that he had spoken up. Darwin seemed to be getting more confident. Navy then spoke up and said, "Hmph. Fine. I'll hear her out. It's not that I don't trust you Sid, I just don't trust her." Pete then interjected, "Navy, don't you think you should apologize to them for your actions? I know full well that you started that fight. I also saw that you kicked Young Sid." Pete said as he stared at Navy with disapproving eyes. His comment made Navy jump and he replied, "Y-you saw that?" "What do you think?" Pete responded. Navy's gaze fell to the floor, realizing he had made a mistake. "I- I'm sorry Sid. I shouldn't have kicked you like that. It was unbecoming of me. I should have listened to you before I acted… Your name is Sundi right? I see now that I was acting rashly… I won't try and fight you again." Navy said as he slowly walked forward and extended his hand to her. Wow, Navy really is a respectable guy sometimes. I knew it must have been hard to put aside his pride, but he seemed to be taking this better than I thought. Sundi was definitely apprehensive after the whole altercation, but eventually reached out and took his hand. "You are a good fighter. I apologize for harming you. I will also abstain from any further fighting." She then reached up and took off her mask in front of everyone. Pete was the first to speak up, "Ho Ho, you are quite the looker young lady. But are you sure it is alright for you to take off your mask like that?" He asked skeptically. She turned to Pete and said, "Yes. I know what you must think, but this is my way of showing trust. Normally we are not permitted to show ourselves to anyone, but as of right now I can no longer consider myself a part of that organization. Please understand, I am not here to cause any harm. I was drawn here by Sid, and he has willingly listened to my story which is more than I can ask for. I apologize for this whole situation, I just needed help." She said with sincerity. Darwin then spoke up again while still peeking through the hatch in the deck, "W-Why d-don't we all just sit down and have a meal? T-that always seems to help r-right?" He said nervously. "Ho, good call Darwin. Why don't we treat ourselves to a late night treat?" Pete responded with a kind smile.
