Chapter 35 - The Visitor in the Shadows

> ⚠️ Themes: Mystery, fear, emotional conflict, jealousy, possessiveness, suspense.

It was a little past midnight.

Sea hadn't slept.

Even though the doctors had urged him to rest, his body stayed alert—jumpy at every creak of the hospital. Boss had left for just a moment to meet someone downstairs, but that moment felt like hours.

And that's when… the door creaked open.

Slow. Silent.

Sea's eyes widened.

He expected Boss.

But it wasn't Boss.

A man walked in, dressed in black. A long coat, dark glasses, and a familiar scent of expensive cologne and danger. His face was partly hidden by the shadows.

> "I was wondering when I'd finally get to meet you," the man said with a chilling smile.

Sea tensed immediately.

> "W-who are you?"

"A fan," the man chuckled darkly. "Let's just say… I've been watching."

He walked closer, slow like a panther stalking prey.

> "You're even more delicate up close," he murmured. "I can see why he went insane."

Sea's chest tightened. This man wasn't normal. His voice was smooth, his eyes… too sharp. He moved like he didn't fear anything. Not even Boss.

> "Did you think being under his protection makes you safe?" the man whispered. "That's cute."

Sea froze as the man reached into his coat—

—only for the door to slam open.

> "STEP. BACK."

Boss's voice wasn't human.

It was demonic.

He stormed into the room like a violent gust of wind, eyes burning with murder. His coat dragged behind him like a shadow made flesh, and his hand was already at the holster inside his suit.

> "Uncle," Boss spat.

"Nephew," the man smirked. "Relax. I was just saying hello."

> "You don't come near him. You don't speak to him. You don't even breathe near him again."

Sea watched in shock.

Wait… uncle?

> "You've always been dramatic," his uncle said, turning to leave casually. "But I had to see what made you lose control. Now I understand."

> "If you ever touch what's mine…" Boss's voice dropped lower. "There won't be a corpse to bury."

Sea's breathing hitched as Boss turned to him after the man left.

Boss slammed the door shut, fists shaking, jaw locked.

> "Why was he here?" Sea asked quietly.

"To taunt me," Boss growled. "He's playing games. He wants to see what you mean to me. And he's going to use you as bait if I'm not careful."

> "Am I… in danger again?" Sea whispered.

Boss walked up to him and held his face, gently this time, forehead pressed against Sea's.

> "You are. But not alone. Never alone again."

Outside the room, guards had already lined the hallway.

Inside, Boss pulled Sea into his arms.

But deep down, both knew something had changed.

And something worse was coming.
