Chapter 62 - 62. (S2) Salmon For the Prince

The inn looked like an old house with a mossy roof and rough stone walls. Only two floors, with narrow hallways and a wooden staircase that creaked at every step. The evening air felt even more damp inside the building, and the faint scent of aged wood lingered in the air.

Mathien opened the door to the upstairs room and immediately frowned.

The room… was so small.

A narrow wooden bed stood in the corner, only big enough for one adult if they didn't move around too much. Beside it was a round table with a short chair, and a tiny window that could barely be opened. There was no fireplace. The air inside felt warm and somewhat stifling.

Hana stood at the doorway, her eyes widening slowly.

"Th-this… is our room?"

Mathien glanced back. "The only one."

Hana swallowed hard. Her hands instinctively pulled at her apron, trying to hide her reddening face.

"B-but… I can sleep in the hallway, or maybe in the kitchen, or—"
