Sorellé Moreau never thought of leaving her home country—until a whirlwind heartbreak and a desperate craving for change landed her on a one-way flight to New York City. Alone in a foreign country and zero connections, she's most definitely determined to start over. A tiny Manhattan apartment, a job at the hospital, and walks through unfamiliar streets become her new normal. She isn't chasing for love, but chasing for a change in her life.
George Brooks has spent his entire life in Manhattan. A successful corporate lawyer with a meticulously curated routine, he doesn't believe in romance nor in fate—especially not after the year he's had. But when his mother fell sick, the last thing he expects is Sorellé: kind-hearted, quiet, and courageous.
Thrown together by chance, Sorellé and George couldn't be more different—but New York has a funny way of putting things together and rewriting people's plans. As Sorelle heals and helps, George teaches her way to the city. And somewhere between subway rides, late-night coffees, and moments that defy translation, they discover that sometimes the best love stories are the ones you don't see coming.
But when the old wounds resurface and their futures pull them in opposite directions, Sorellé must choose: return home, or claim Manhattan as her own—maybe, just maybe, her heart too.

Short Scene Peek through:
George watched her from across the room, with her damp hair slightly straigthen, rain still dripping from the hem of her coat. She was sipping a hot drink from a mug, with the heat of the drink fogging her eye-glasses.
"Did you know that you're the only person I've ever met who drinks Mulled Wine in this time and weather of the day." He said, looking and chuckling at her.
Sorelle looked up, eyes warm with amusement. "P.s. I am drinking Vin Chaud, which is a very normal and comforting choice to drink for a chilly, rainy day.
And you're the only person I know who thinks everything I do, that is very frenchly. You must be very interested with me". I chuckled softly while looking into his eyes with suspicion.
"Yes, I am interested. I mean y'all have a funny way of doing your day, but I'm more amused to think that you were the one doing those things. It's somehow cute and comforting." he deadpanned.
Sorelle's eyes locked at him, when he said that last phrase. Looking in so much shock and confuse, but it didn't hurt her one bit. She was actually flattered.
She laughed softly, and the sound was like a small ripple in the quiet of the diner. Then she reached across the table for a mug, then pour it onto his cup.
"Then try it. Just once, It wouldn't hurt to try."
She smiled at him.
He raised an eyebrow. "Is this a dare?"
"It's a challenge."
He leaned in slowly, just enough to take it away from her side of the table. Their hands brushed—barely—and something sparked in the air. He drank, eyebrows lifting in mock suprise.
"Okay," he said finally. "Not awful."
"Well.. That's a high praise, coming from you."
She grinned, and caught himself staring a little too long.
The city kept moving—honking cars, neon signs flickering in puddles—but inside that diner, time felt like it had slowed to a quiet hum.
