Chapter 4 - Meeting among the fallen

Chapter 4

The chamber of darkness was lit with flaming touches that danced over the walls.

The moment Seth walked in, every being grew silent. The other generals grew tense at the sight of him.

His dark aura filled the room, and his cloak swept the floor behind him as everyone made space for him.

Seth was the fiercest most respected demon among the fallen.

He took his seat among the other generals.

" Lucien." Seth's voice echoed commandingly throughout the hall. Some of the low ranking demons shifted uncomfortably.

Lucien appeared in a pillar of smoke. Presenting himself before the leaders.

" My lord." he said with a bow. His red eyes looked like burning coals.

" What's the meaning of this? Why did you attack the humans in the south district. Do you know the implications of what you have done. " Seth said with rage.

" Forgive me, my lord. It did not result in many deaths."

The ground shook as Dimitri stumped his foot on the ground. He was one of the generals.

" Ninety-nine percent of the people in the south died." he thundered. " Do you know what the Most high could do to us for inflicting such pain on his children."

Lucien let out a cold laugh.

" Lord Dimitri, if the Omega really cared about the people in the south district, he would have stopped me himself. Besides, most of the humans there are sinful. They have turned their backs against the lord their God. Only a few still worship him and are fit to be called his children." Lucien said with a pause.

" Besides, I got a lot of Souls for the devil. He would be very pleased."

" Fear the lord." Said Seth. " Have you all forgotten what he's done to us."

" We are already doomed. There is no need fearing the creator. We will never make it to heaven again. We have lost that right long ago. Our only mission is to get more souls for the devil. And if you are still against me, then you can answer to Lucifer himself. You may be my leaders, but I do not work for imbeciles like you." Lucien said rudely.

The other generals gasped, feeling the sting of the insult.

Seth's eyes burned in anger. Before anyone could realise it, a large sword burning with blue flames appeared out of nowhere plunging into Luciens soul and turning him into ash.

" Now if any of you decide to act upon your will again in the name of the devil, then, you might just end up like him." Seth said in authority. And with that, he walked out of the chamber. A cloud of darkness covering him.

The other demons murmured among themselves.

" He's just killed Lucifer's nephew." one of them said.

" We must Fear the lord, but what about Lucifers wrath. " said another.

Seth appeared in the human realm. He was no longer wearing his dark outfit anymore. He was wearing a white suit looking very stunning in it. The human girls who saw him couldn't help but be drawn to his charming looks.

Seth made his way into the cathedral.

He sat down in one of the empty pews. The cathedral looked empty.

Soon, a Nun appeared. She looked young and radiant as ever. Without a word, she sat beside Seth with an unreadable expression on her face.

" Hello old friend." Seth said

" Why are you here." she asked coldly.

" I can see you are still pouring salt on old wounds. Won't you ever give up." Seth said giving her a pathetic look. " God will never take us back in."

" Tell me why you are here or leave." she said roughly. " we are no longer friends since you have chosen your side." she said sharply.

Seth paused and took out out a photo from his pocket.

He handed it to her.

" Two years ago, a boy and his sister visited this cathedral. Do you mind telling me where they are."

" what do you need them for." she asked glancing at the photo.

" The boy took something very precious to me."

" what exactly."

" A pendant."

" well, am sorry." she said handing him back the photo. " I can not help you. I don't remember ever seeing them here."

" Don't do this to me Serena. I know you never forget a face."

" why should I help you. You always have wicked motives up your sleeves. And let me make this clear. Those two children are holy. If you try harming them, their angels will harm you."

" I mean them no harm. I swear. I just need to get back that pendant. It's not fit to be carried about by a human."

" Promise me you wouldn't hurt them." said Serena.

" I promise" he said seriously.

" They moved to England last year." she said. Soon a paper and quill appeared and she wrote down their address.

Seth took it from her and stood up.

" see you later." He said coldly, turning to leave.

" Not even a thank you." she said.

He stopped in his tracks.

" What happened to you Seth, you've changed. where is your goodness."

" it died the day he cast me away from his sight." he said coldly then walked out of from the Cathedral.
