What surprised him even more was that the world before his eyes seemed to become more vivid and brighter than ever before.
It's like removing a mask and restoring the colors 100%.
Xu Yunfan subconsciously pressed his temple, and the skin touched by his fingertips trembled slightly.
In front of the ancient Buddhist temple, there are traces of moss spores drifting on the steps, the frequency of earthworms rolling and rubbing their bodies underneath, and hair-thin cracks inside the copper bells on the eaves.
These details, which originally required deliberate concentration to capture, now poured into the consciousness like a rainstorm.
At this moment, countless memories of cultivation suddenly manifested in his mind.
He saw himself living in a hut on the top of a mountain for ten years, standing on the cliff at the hour of Yin every day to watch the rising and falling sea of clouds, hoping to understand the imprint of heaven and earth on his own heart and achieve spiritual sublimation and transformation.
No matter how the scorching sun made his skin peel off, or how the frost and snow in the deep winter condensed into ice armor hanging on his eyelashes, Xu Yunfan always kept his hands in the Lin seal posture, until one day when the morning sun pierced through the clouds and the morning glow dyed the sea of clouds golden, a sudden enlightenment arose in his heart.
Immediately, he slowly stood up, shook off the thick dust on his tattered clothes, and walked down the mountain step by step.
The memory fragment suddenly switched to a snowy peak.
His bare feet crushed the thousand-year-old black ice, leaving a blood lotus-like mark with every step.
In the gale layer at an altitude of 3,000 feet, he took off his fur coat and faced the freezing wind, letting the ice crystals cut his skin, just to comprehend the true meaning of the "Lin" formula: "the body and mind are pure, and the inside and outside are clear."
The last scene freezes at the moment when he climbs to the legendary Yunding Palace.
After decades of practicing the Lin character technique, he finally broke through the shackles in his heart. When his inside and outside were opened, he finally saw the innate god sitting in the heavenly palace.
This deity was surrounded by fairy light and mist, and his figure was blurred. As his spirit gradually dried up, the deity finally moved, took a step, and walked down from the platform.
The surrounding mist and fairy light were like a rainbow at dawn, exploding in the temple.
Xu Yunfan was shocked to see that the face of this divine being was exactly the same as his own.
In reality, Xu Yunfan's pupils trembled slightly, and enlightenment arose in his heart.
It is better to worship yourself than to worship heaven and earth.
All those things that had previously made him feel stressed had now disappeared without a trace, replaced by an unprecedented tranquility and peace.
The sound of the wind, the singing of birds, and the rustling of leaves all reached my ears with incredible clarity.
He could feel the breeze against his skin and even pick out the subtle differences in the different scents in the air.
Emotions are like well water, calm and without any ups and downs.
He was calm to the extreme, seemingly without any emotion, his entire body was under perfect control, and he didn't waste any energy in every move he made.
The power of the entire body is fully mastered at this moment.
He sensed it carefully and found that this supersensory state was depleting his mental strength every second and it was difficult to sustain it.
Once the spiritual power dries up, if it continues to be maintained, there is a high probability that the soul will collapse.
No more than three breaths.
Looking at the golden light shooting from the horizon, the old monk was excited, no longer as old as before. He bowed deeply.
"The Bodhisattva of Power Awakening is above, the spiritual awareness has arrived!"
Xu Yunfan no longer hesitated. He crushed the bluestone bricks under his feet with his toes, and his whole body retreated violently. In an instant, he disappeared into the jungle not far away, climbed up an old pine tree, and remained silent.
When the golden light fell, Xu Yunfan could see clearly that it was a mace!
The gilded mace, engulfed in golden flames, crashed to the ground, landing in the temple courtyard.
The moment the bricks and stones collapsed, the copper bells on the dome of the ancient temple were blown into powder.
In the nearby jungle, Xu Yunfan, who had just exited the Lin Ziyin state, had his pupils tremble as he looked at the large hole in the courtyard that was smashed by the gilded mace.
The earth and rocks in the courtyard rolled over and over like waves, revealing the dense and eerie white bones underneath.
Those bones embedded in the soil looked like countless pairs of empty eye sockets staring straight at the sky. The number of them was so large that it was chilling. The entire courtyard seemed to have become a huge cemetery.
With such a large number, there must be tens of thousands of them in this huge courtyard.
The method of blood sacrifice!
Xu Yunfan stared closely at the gilded mace in the pit that was still emitting a faint golden glow, and a look of realization flashed in his eyes.
Xu Yunfan's heart trembled. He had heard Lu Yi mention earlier that divine weapons possessed spirits, could not distinguish between good and evil, and particularly relished feeding on human energy. If the evil spirit could not be dispelled in time, once too much killing took place, the divine weapons would transform into vicious weapons.
This gilded mace is said to be the protective weapon of the generals of the previous dynasty. Now that it has been taken out, it must be related to the burial of His Majesty the Bodhisattva Lijue.
But, does the Bodhisattva Lijue really have intelligence?
Presumably, the earth dragon turning over in the depths of Jiyun Mountain was also the work of this Bodhisattva Lijue.
In the courtyard, the old monk stood up shakily, dusted off the dust on his body, walked to the cushion under the altar in the Buddhist temple, knelt down and shouted.
"Welcome the Bodhisattva to his seat! Welcome the Bodhisattva to his seat!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Bodhisattva statue on the altar suddenly cracked into countless fine cracks, and black mist poured out from the cracks, rolling and filling the entire Buddhist temple.
The old monk was swallowed by the mist, but instead of showing any fear, his expression became even more fanatical.
He raised his hands high and roared like an animal: "Please, Bodhisattva, come to me and grant me immortality!"
For a moment, the black mist in the Buddhist temple seemed to smell blood and began to madly penetrate into the old monk's body.
At this moment, five black shadows suddenly emerged from different directions.
At the east eaves, a warrior was as burly as an iron tower, yet as agile as an old ape. His hands hung down past his knees, and his toes were more than twice as long as those of an ordinary person, and as flexible as the palms of his hands.
This man was nearly ten feet tall, with arms bulging with muscles. The black iron wristbands on his arms shone with strange patterns in the moonlight. He was rushing towards them with big strides. Wherever he went, the high walls were easily broken like paper, and then he stepped into the courtyard.
Towards the west wall, a strong red-haired man climbed over the wall and entered.
Every time he took a step, the blue bricks under his feet would instantly crack like thin ice in spring.
With every move he made, his red hair danced wildly like burning flames, and the hair on his body was like tiny flames floating gently on his body, emitting a hot breath.
Another person walked out from the shadow of the broken pillar. His figure was as black as ink and would disappear if not noticed. The chain blade in his sleeve was like a poisonous snake spitting out its tongue, and he swung it with his hands.
Looking up, I saw a swordsman with a broken arm standing on the roof.
On the north wall, a woman in silver palace attire, holding a jade flute, landed lightly on the wall as if she were walking on the wind. Her brows furrowed slightly, and she snorted coldly.
"You are an evil heretic, worshiping a wild god in the vain hope of immortality. I think you are tired of living."
The warrior who looked like an old ape had a stern expression on his face and said coldly, "Humph, this divine weapon belongs to me today!"
After saying that, he immediately strode towards the big pit, wanting to rush into the pit first and grab the magic weapon.
