It happened on the rooftop.
No cameras. No noise. Just us — under a golden sky.
I hadn't planned to talk to Damien.
But something about the way he looked at me in the hallway… like I was slipping through his fingers… made me stop walking.
We didn't say much at first.
Just stood there, wind tugging at my hair. He gently pushed a strand away from my face.
"You're still mad," he said quietly.
"I'm still hurt," I corrected.
He looked down. "I'm sorry, Ava. I should've moved away faster. I shouldn't have let her near me."
"I don't want to be the jealous girl, Damien."
"Then don't be," he whispered. "Because there's no one else. There's only you."
And in that moment… he leaned in.
And I didn't stop him.
Our lips met — warm, soft, trembling.
It wasn't rushed.
It wasn't perfect.
But it was ours.
I smiled against his lips. "Took you long enough."
He laughed. "Had to make sure it was real."
I rested my head against his shoulder, my heart finally quiet.
I thought nothing could ruin this.

After she left, I stayed there.
Replay after replay in my head.
Of how she smiled. How her fingers slid into mine. How I finally, finally kissed the girl I couldn't stop thinking about.
And then— chaos.
I turned a corner and ran right into Serena.
Literally.
She stumbled dramatically. "Oh my God, Damien—watch it!"
Before I could react, she grabbed my face and kissed me.

I immediately pulled away, furious. "What the hell, Serena?!"
She just smirked and walked away like nothing happened.
I stood frozen.
I had no idea… she had recorded it.

My phone buzzed.
An anonymous number.
1 new video.
I hesitated, then pressed play.
And my world stopped.
Damien.
Serena.
Kissing.
The video was shaky, but clear enough.
My throat tightened. My hands went numb.
The message underneath:
