DARK CITY | 5
Dilapidated Building | Dark City
Caitlyn: Stay here with Clay while he recovers fully, I sense something off. Just in case... ALCHEMICAL VOID; SCARLET DIVINITY ARMOUR.
Desmond: You think that's a little overkill?
Caitlyn: Not at all, the enemy is drawing near- and with The Eliancoh Four entering the fray. Who knows what is bound to happen.
Desmond: Fair enough, this is a lot to take in at once. I feel like it's just been one events after the other. Without a moment to breathe.
Caitlyn: You're impatient, you want to fight- and end this city's suffering. I get it, it's noble of you; but we have to be still. And hold our ground, this is their domain, not ours. If we move so much as one wrong inch, we're dead.
Desmond: I wanna help, but I don't feel like I can do much. I know I gotta stop these guys, what their doing to this place. It's sick, twisted- nobody should have to go through this nightmarish hell.
Caitlyn: Remember in the Village, you were able to defeat Melania. An Evolved Devil, as a novice. Whether you were empowered, whether you can't control you're Devil Slaying Magic. You have the strength in there, somewhere. Down really deep, there's potential.
Desmond: I'll use my psycho ability, I'll try my best- I WILL WIN. I can't let anyone get hurt, it's not in my nature. I can't fail again...
...I failed once... Never again.
Caitlyn: It hurts, I know- The pain of the past haunting over you. But in order to move forward, you must accept that pain.
Desmond: What if I'm not ready to? What if I'm not prepared for something like that?
Caitlyn: We don't know if we're gonna survive the night, you have plenty of time to think about it.
Clay: The two of you are some inspirational sobbers, I love it. That's how John used to be, before he became that alias 'Mikato'. Funniest guy around, a bit of a dick- but he had heart, you know?
Desmond: Even if they aren't you're friends anymore, we gotta find a way to help them. It's that damn curse latched onto their souls, we can help them can't we?
Clay: I don't know if it's possible... Unfortunately, the only goal at hand is cleansing the City.
Caitlyn: So everyone affected will just be left to rot and wither away? What kind of win is that, that's more of a defeat than anything.
Clay: *anger rages over Clay as he sends his fist into the wall of the dilapidated building* It isn't my call. *Tears run down his face* Us Skar, we are religous- we are obedient. Whatever the Chief says, it goes.
Desmond: What if you wanna do it different, help out others. What if you have wants man?
Clay: The chief is more knowledgeable then anyone I've ever met, his reasons are unknown. And I don't agree with his actions... But if he says to do something, I do it. And so does my friend Robin Hood. We aren't some organization, or mercenary group- we aren't under a certain faction. We are a religious folk, and we do not disobey our call.
Caitlyn: I understand.
Desmond: WHAT? YOU'RE JUST GONNA AGREE WITH HIM? TALK SOME SENSE IN THE GUY- HE NEEDS TO MAKE HIS OWN DECISIONS.
Caitlyn: He is a warrior, but he is defined by his faith. I can admire that, as a Christian- I am devoted to my faith.
Outside the dilapidated building, a dark snake-like phantom crept near. Emerging from this mist was The Siren herself; a screech that sent the mountain into a frenzy. Boulders and debree caught in countless chains of destruction.
Caitlyn: SOMEONE'S HERE- DESMOND, TAKE CLAY WITH YOU TOWARDS THE CHURCH. THAT WILL BE A SAFE SPOT FOR YOU TWO TO HOLD. I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS.
Desmond: So they finally showed up, hey listen- whatevers out there...Don't you dare die on me.
Caitlyn: I won't, I promise. Now take Clay, and secure yourself a safe point. We'll meet later, GO NOW.
Caitlyn walked out to the street, where she was greeted by an inhumane creature, The Siren.
Caitlyn: You must be a part of Atlus Crew, am I correct?
The Siren: Time to find out pretty girl; and by the but- I like my women cold and dead.
Caitlyn: SWORDSMAN HOLLOW ALCHEMY - PIERCING RECIEVER.
The Siren: DEATH PLAGUE: SHOCKWAVE ONSLAUGHT.
