Inside the room, the air was a pressurized weight of silence and musk. Alex shifted his position with a slow, predator's grace, moving behind Helena until he was a towering shadow over her arched form.

He didn't enter her immediately; instead, he settled the broad, pulsing head of his length against her entrance, the heat of him searing against her trembling skin.

Vivienne watched from just inches away, her fingers digging into the carpet. Her eyes were wide, glassy with a look of utter, spiritual starvation. She looked at him with a silent, desperate plea, her lips parted as if she were mentally dragging him back toward her.

Alex caught her gaze and let a slow, mocking smile curl his lips.

He reached out and wound his fingers into Helena's hair, yanking her head back with a sharp, possessive force that bared her throat. He tilted her face toward the trembling woman beside her."
