Chapter 58 - Chapter 59: The Week

The sun had barely crested the edge of the mountains when Tharion's villa came alive. A soft morning mist hung across the training valley, the sound of rushing streams and sparring Pokémon echoing through the air. This was no ordinary week — this was the final stretch before the Indigo League.

Tharion stood atop a cliff overlooking his private training grounds, his coat fluttering with the wind. Below, his army of Pokémon — each one hard-earned through trials, battles, and bonds — were deep in training. Some moved with thunderous force, others with quiet focus. Every motion spoke of preparation, of purpose.

He raised his wrist, glancing at the embedded keystone ring glimmering faintly under the sunlight. Seven days left…

Charizard hovered in the air, its wings slicing through the morning haze as it trained Flare Blitz — each dive leaving a burning trail of fire across the valley floor. Tharion's voice rang out through the comm-link, calm yet commanding:"Control your descent — channel the recoil into your momentum, not your body!"

A massive shockwave followed as Charizard struck through a boulder mid-dive, its flames wrapping it in a spiral of orange and blue. The explosion scattered smoke across the terrain.

On the opposite end, Ferrothorn rolled across the ground, spikes glinting under the morning light. It was practicing Gyro Ball and Iron Defense, its motion smooth and mechanical. Each rotation struck against Tyranitar's reinforced scales, sparking with metallic clangs.

"Don't just defend," Tharion called. "Strike at the rhythm of your opponent's breath."

Tyranitar grunted, retaliating with a Stone Edge, its crystals bursting through the ground — Ferrothorn's vines lashed out, using Power Whip to shatter them in return. Both stood their ground, a mutual nod of respect passing between them.

The ground trembled slightly as Tharion smirked. "Good… keep pushing each other."

Lucario meditated near the lake, the old female Lucario standing beside him. The faint shimmer of aura danced between them, forming ripples on the water's surface. They were focusing on perfecting Aura Sphere — not just its formation but its control. When the old Lucario fired one, it curved midair, hitting a moving target with absolute precision.

Lucario followed suit — his own aura blast flickered slightly unstable before steadying into perfect focus.

Nearby, Noivern shrieked as it sent sonic waves echoing across the valley. The dragon was mastering Boomburst under Tharion's command — high-frequency waves that bent trees and sent Charizard's flames scattering like sparks.

High above, Black Gyarados soared in defiance of its aquatic origin, twisting through the air as it fired Hydro Pump bursts in rhythm, aiming at moving platforms Tharion had constructed through drones. Every strike was faster, more accurate.

When Gyarados roared, the air rippled like the surface of a stormy sea.

"Perfect," Tharion said, jotting notes on his holo-pad. "You'll be my sky breaker."

Down in the shaded grove, Haunter trained alongside Luxray."Shadow Ball!" Nina's command rang out, and Haunter unleashed a concentrated orb of ghostly energy that collided midair with Luxray's Discharge. The two attacks crackled and burst in a dazzling show of lightning and shadow.

From the side, Bouldore continued absorbing the Everstone Core, its body glowing faintly as it refined its inner stability. It worked tirelessly, rotating between Rock Blast and Iron Defense to harden its structure.

Meanwhile, Ralts sat in quiet meditation, eyes closed, attempting to expand its psychic field. Tharion's Lucario occasionally guided her, linking a thread of aura to help her focus.

Ralts's first attempt at Psychic barely stirred a pebble. By sunset, it had lifted an entire rock off the ground.

Nina smiled softly. "She's growing up fast."

Tharion nodded. "And she'll grow stronger… as long as she has purpose."

Tharion spent the day exploring the lower caverns of his villa, where hundreds of his captured Pokémon trained in organized rotations. His collection wasn't built from greed — every one of them had a role, a pairing, and a purpose.

Riolu's mother (Lucario) — monitoring aura density across the grounds.

Rotom — flickering between machines, learning to synchronize with tech-based devices.

Spiritomb — training in secrecy, refining Dark Pulse beneath the old shrine.

Larvesta — focusing on Flame Charge, its body radiating a strange divine heat.

Tharion watched them all, arms crossed.Every pair, every solo — a pattern of his philosophy. Balance through duality. Harmony through structure.

That evening, Tharion stood inside his training chamber, a massive holographic display of the Kanto League brackets projected before him. He studied the terrain maps, potential type matchups, and trainers' historical styles.

Charizard perched behind him, flicking its tail in impatience. Tyranitar leaned against the wall, arms crossed. Lucario stood beside him, silent but attentive.

"League matches aren't about brute force," Tharion murmured. "They're about endurance, adaptability, and timing."He gestured toward Charizard. "Fire alone won't carry you. We'll practice counter-tactics against Water-types next."

Lucario nodded, already anticipating his master's pace.He began charging aura energy again, working toward a hybrid form between Aura Sphere and Focus Blast.

The villa grew quiet. Training slowed. For the first time in weeks, Tharion allowed the day to breathe.

He sat beneath the ancient aura tree, meditating. Around him, his Pokémon rested — Charizard lying in the grass, Tyranitar soaking in the sun, Lucario seated cross-legged in meditation beside its mother. Noivern and Gyarados circled lazily overhead, while Ferrothorn hung motionless from the nearby tree.

Nina joined him, carrying tea. Luxray stretched beside her, while Haunter drifted in lazy circles.

"Do you think we're ready?" she asked softly.

Tharion opened his eyes, gazing at the horizon."Readiness isn't a state," he said. "It's a habit. We've lived in it long enough."

The setting sun bathed them in gold.

The next morning, the mountain resonated with power. Energy hummed in every corner — flame, lightning, steel, and aura. Tharion stood before his assembled team, the League Badge Case on his belt gleaming under the light.

Charizard roared. Lucario's aura flared. Tyranitar slammed its tail into the ground. Ferrothorn, Noivern, and Gyarados aligned beside them — six pillars of strength.

Behind him, Nina stood ready with her own team: Luxray, Haunter, Butterfree, Boldore, and her newly joined Ralts.

Tharion raised his hand."Today, we go where only the best belong. Remember — power means nothing without control."

With that, he activated the teleport crystal.A brilliant light enveloped them — and when it faded, the towering spires of the Indigo Plateau loomed ahead, filled with crowds, banners, and a storm of anticipation.

Tharion took one calm breath, his aura expanding around him like a quiet tempest."Let's show them what real evolution looks like."

Lucario's Lucarionite shimmered faintly on its wrist, responding to his words — a promise of what was to come.
