"Ugh… Did I die? Where the hell am I?"Earnest's voice trembled as he opened his eyes to a strange, bright room.
"Wait… why do my hands feel weird? Why are they so… small? Aaaahhhhhh no no no this can't be happening!"
He thrashed, crying out like a toddler.Suddenly—SMACK.A firm hand met his bottom.
"Hey! Watch it, you piec—uhh… cuuutee—ness…?!"His angry complaint melted into embarrassed stammering. He couldn't stop crying, like some helpless baby… which he now apparently was.
2 Years Later
"Two years. It's been two damn years."
Rox (formerly Earnest) sat cross-legged in his crib, now used more like a training dojo than a bed. His thoughts were mature, but his body was still that of a toddler.
"Turns out… I'm still in the same world. Just a different kingdom. Oh, and apparently, I was born the same year I died. Creepy I would say."
He rolled his eyes. "Anyway, my new name is Rox. Yeah, kinda cool, I won't lie."
"Also a plot twist for me at least, I'm now the second son of the King of Helesberth, one of the two most powerful nations on the continent. The other is the Kingdom of Intrence… yeah, I know, sh*t a*s name."
"And guess what? I'm already at Level 3, Stage 3 in magic. Not that I can show it off, my parents would probably faint or maybe burn me?."
The door creaked open.
"So there you are, my little Roux~!"
That was his big sister, Lila, age six, already at Level 4, Stage 1.
She rushed in, hugging him tightly.
"And then there's my brother," Rox muttered to himself. "Also six. Already at Level 3, Stage 3. Guess I've got competition."
"But what's up with Lila's obsession with me?! Seriously, I'm a baby! Chill, sis!"
He sighed.
"But once this body grows up… I'll show them all. I'll surpass everyone. And this time… I will not be the one played."
