Chapter 18 - new chapter

Hiroshi asked, "If we must agree, what will the consequences be?"

"Destruction. That's all I can tell you," Jirou replied.

Hiroshi continued watching. Someone was there, observing the situation as well.

He then noticed a man doing his work, passing something to another magician.

Hiroshi looked at Matsuri and said, "You should grab him from that point. I'll hold him."

"Okay, got it," Matsuri replied.

Hiroshi watched them carefully. Then, both men went in opposite directions.

Hiroshi and Matsuri hid nearby, keeping an eye on the men as they followed them.

When the opportunity came, Hiroshi caught one of them, while Matsuri captured the other.

The scene shifted. Both men were now tightly bound with ropes.

Hiroshi looked at the man and asked, "Tell me, where did you get all these things? Are you connected to some secret organization?"

The man replied, "I won't say anything."

Hiroshi looked at him. "I see. So, there are some bad things we need to do."

The man asked, "What are you going to do to us?"

The scene shifted.

Tai Yang looked confused. "I don't get it. What does he want from me?"

Cardo replied, "Maybe he's someone from another planet."

"Another planet? Huh?" Tai Yang asked.

"Yeah, he is. And from what I've seen, I don't know his name, to be honest. But I do know he's someone from another planet," Cardo explained.

"I see. So, that's how it works," Tai Yang said.

"He's from another planet, and he looks very strong, by the way," Tai Yang added.

Cardo nodded. "He is very strong. But remember, there may come a time when you'll have to fight him."

"Fight him?" Tai Yang asked.

"Yeah," Cardo replied.

Tai Yang asked, "So, what should I do?"

"For now, don't take on any missions. You need more training," Cardo replied.

"Why?"

"We can clearly see how strong he is. If he catches up to us, it'll be big trouble. So, it's better not to confront him face-to-face for now."

Cardo then turned to leave. "I've got some important work to do. You can stay here or go see Ren."

"Huh? You're leaving?" Tai Yang asked.

Cardo didn't answer. He simply walked away.

Tai Yang sighed. "Great. Now I'm going to be bored here."

He thought for a moment before saying, "How about I visit Ren? Let's see if he's recovered yet."

Tai Yang arrived to see Ren.

"Hey, Ren!"

"Oh, it's you, Tai Yang," Ren replied.

Tai Yang opened the door and saw Ren sipping soup.

"Hey, Ren!"

Ren jumped in surprise and spilled his soup.

"Hey! What the hell? You spilled it on my face!" Tai Yang exclaimed.

"Why the hell did you jump-scare me?!" Ren shouted.

"Anyways, are you okay?" Tai Yang asked.

"Shut up."

Tai Yang continued, "I'm honestly surprised. Master Hiroshi was injured, but he recovered in just a few days. Yet you still haven't recovered. Is the magic he used really that powerful?"

"He's very strong, that's for sure," Ren replied.

"Yeah, from what I've seen and heard, he really is."

"Anyways, tell me when you'll recover," Tai Yang said.

"He shouldn't even know that," Ren replied.

"Come on! You're a magician, right? Huh? What's that supposed to mean?"

For a moment, the situation became funny again.

Tai Yang noticed a stick nearby. He picked it up and see at the sky .

Scene shift.

Konsoon was sitting on a chair in the middle of a dark room. The only light illuminated him.

Four people stood in front of him. Each wore a mask with a half-turned face and a smile.

The first masked man asked, "Tell me, Sanguis Konsoon. Are you the one who approved the guilty verdict here?"

Konsoon smiled. "Why do you think so?"

"Because you're the one who told us that a god was involved. Are you connected to some secret organization, to be fair?"

Konsoon smiled again. "That's true. I did tell you that, as recorded. But the thing is, someone being involved is only a possible answer, if you agree. There are many gods who would never tell you the truth. And I have no personal issues with anyone, gods or otherwise, to begin with."

The second masked man replied, "That's very true. From what we've witnessed in your magic records, you've never even committed genocide."

He continued, "But the question remains: who do you think they have settled with? Do you know anything?"

Konsoon replied, "Perhaps a well-known organization or a cult has decided to attack us. But there is no proof to identify who is responsible. I can only speculate for now."

"And the connection with the gods? What can I say about that?" Konsoon asked.

The third masked man said, "So, your involvement is considered zero here because there is no proof of guilt against you."

The fourth masked man added, "We have no other options left. Therefore, we have to leave you for now."

Then, by the will of Norea, everyone began chanting. Everyone except Konsoon.

Konsoon simply smiled.

Suddenly, he was teleported away.

"I see."

Konsoon was now sitting at the round table once again.

"Oh, Lord Konsoon," Jack Churchill said.

Konsoon smiled. "Perhaps it's your turn now, Lord Jack Churchill."

Jack smiled. "I see."

He vanished.

Scene shift.

Jack was now back in the same room with the four masked men.

The first masked man said, "Welcome back, Churchill."

Scene shift.

Hiroshi looked around and said, "So, this is the land they've been informing us about."

Matsuri looked around. "It's really long."

Hiroshi continued, "So, this is where they've all been hiding, you could say."

Hiroshi continued looking around. Suddenly, many magicians appeared.

"What is really happening here?" Hiroshi wondered.

He then used Dawn Blade, injuring one of them.

"I don't really know what this is supposed to mean," Hiroshi said.

Hiroshi and Matsuri looked around.

"This is very bad. There are too many people here. I think we should teleport ourselves away for now and regroup," Hiroshi said.

"Yeah, that's a good idea for now," Matsuri replied.

Both of them teleported away.

Scene shift.

Hiroshi and Matsuri returned to the Kisidian Force.

Hiroshi asked, "Did you put teleportation magic on them too, Matsuri?"

"Yes, I did. I placed it on those two," she replied.

Scene shift.

Back with the magicians, their main leader spoke.

"I see. So, they've all run away from here. Very interesting."

"Seriously, though, it won't be enough to get us out of here."

Scene shift.

Hiroshi returned to the hall.

He noticed Tai Yang lying down, looking up at the sky while holding his stick.

When Tai Yang noticed Hiroshi, he called out, "Master? Hiroshi, you're here?"

"Yeah," Hiroshi replied.

Tai Yang asked, "Tell me, have you returned from your mission?"

"Yeah, just now," Hiroshi answered.

Matsuri was also there, holding the two men they had captured.

Scene shift.

Hiroshi began walking away.

Jirou looked at Hiroshi and said, "So, you came back, Hiroshi?"

"Yeah. We've caught two of them," Hiroshi replied.

"I see. Then bring them in."

Hiroshi added, "Just don't harm them. I don't see any point in hurting them."

"That depends on whether they cooperate or not," Jirou replied.

Scene shift.

Tai Yang looked up at the trees.

"Life is very boring," he muttered.

Then he suddenly thought of something.

"Oh, where is Lan?"

He got up and went to look for her.

Eventually, he found Lan sleeping.

"Oh, she's sleeping?"

Tai Yang looked at her and said, "It's good to see her sleeping, though. Otherwise, I would've been worried about her."
