Chapter 1 - The Lady in the Mansion

In a run down neighborhood, there stood a building, not appealing to look at, but big enough for a small office.

"Wah! Who the fuck took the last piece?" Looking down at the empty donut. He then heard a chuckle. The boy aggressively shoved down the guy who was sitting beside him. The guy laughs, "Geez… Calm down… Is the donut more important than our bond?"

A man then entered the room, glancing over the two, he sighed. He knew that there's no use of him meddling in their business. But, as an adult, he must do something. "Gabriel, you should think before you act" he knew that these words did not make sense, although he had to at least meddle sometimes… Right?

Gabriel, who is now currently pinned on the ground, tried to wriggle himself out of Ezekiel's grip. "Damn, babe… let's continue this in our room." Flustered by Gabriel's words he let go of his grip. "You fucking disgust me."

"Enough, you two. I'm about to announce our new mission" Hearing this, the two of them sat down properly. Seeing that the two of them are now behaved, he then placed the files in front of them.

"There have been sightings of a white lady in this old mansion. It might sound like a common case, but those who have seen the white lady started disappearing one by one. The first victim was a female highschooler— she walks past this mansion everyday on her way to school. Her friends said that one day she went to school with a look of horror on her face. After that, she was nowhere to be found. She didn't even come home, she just vanished."

"The second one is a man around his twenties, he was a live streamer and found out about the incident that had occurred in that place. But during his filming, the signal got cut-off. He also disappeared, no CCTV or anyone witnessed him leaving the place. What made it worse is that— Some of those people who watched the stream saw the white lady through the video, while some didn't. Those who had seen the white lady started disappearing one by one."

"Luckily, the white lady stays dormant after one soul falls into its hands. So, we have to find the remaining people who have seen her through the live stream."

Gabriel raised his hand and said, "Are you suggesting that we use them as bait? This is going to be easy." He leaned back on the couch.

"Are you dumb? It might sound easy but it's not. We don't know who's about to be the next victim! It's not like we have a list of all of those people." Ezekiel argued.

Gabriel grins and replied, "You need to calm down. I am sure that the higher ups already took care of it. Right, Mr. Andersen?"

"Actually…" He paused for a moment "... this is why this task is for the two of you. Both of you are influencers, which makes this search easier." Mr. Andersen smiled at them, long and intensely, which made it creepy to look at.

Ezekiel interrupted, "Ah fucking hell, you should be thankful that I love this job and it pays well. If not, I would've already burned this whole company."

Mr. Andersen replied, "Please don't. Our president spent his lifetime building this company."

Gabriel laughed hearing something absurd. "He should start investing for a better workplace"

Mr. Andersen sighs and leaves the two of them. He knows that Gabriel's words make sense— he himself is aware that the president has many shortcomings as a leader.
