Chapter 395 - Authority of the Boundary, the Despairing Demon Lord

Hearing the admonition from God, Jack was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears streamed down his face as he lay prostrate on the ground, unable to lift his head for a long time.

"Thank you for your mercy, Heavenly Lord!"

Su Mo's meaning was clear: the time of reckoning had not yet arrived. If he wanted to atone, he still had the chance and the time.

God would not grant him extra forgiveness, which meant that if he could wash away some of his sins by the Day of Judgment, no matter how much, it would be his own solid achievement, without a hint of self-deception.

For a sinner, what could be a more comforting guarantee than this?

"Jack..."

Seeing the pumpkin-headed man weeping but seemingly relieved, Willa was a little worried. Her gaze towards Su Mo also grew a little fonder.

Although she didn't know what had happened or why Jack was suddenly crying so hard, she had a feeling that he seemed a little happier than before.

The onlookers, though also in the dark, had likely guessed some of what was happening. After all, for a faith centered on original sin and redemption like the Christian church, similar events were not uncommon.

Moving past Jack and Willa, Su Mo looked towards the old fire dragon and his wife, who had long since bowed respectfully.

"Greetings, Lord Su Mo!"

As descendants of the Star Sea Dragon King and part of the outer circle of the Taoist god-system, not members of the Christian system, they did not need to be as subservient as Jack.

But towards this master of the Christian church, an existence supreme even in the entirety of Little Garden, they dared not show the slightest neglect.

Though his rank was only in the Almighty Domain, in terms of status, he was an existence on par with the World-Honored Buddha of the domain of full authority.

In fact, judging from the rumors they had heard, this God might have already solved the omnipotence paradox and reached the two-digit domain of full authority; otherwise, he couldn't have replaced the Son of God's rule.

"You may rise," Su Mo said with a slight nod, recognizing the two before him. "The leaders of Salamandra?"

"Yes!" the old fire dragon said, bowing his head respectfully, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "I never thought Lord Su Mo would know of our existence. This is a great honor!"

A community known even to the master of the Christian church—this sentence alone could be used as a brand to boast about themselves.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, an even greater surprise appeared.

"Of course I remember. In the battle against the Son of God, Canary helped me borrow the Another Cosmology: Virtual Star Tai Sui from you. I don't believe I have yet expressed my gratitude for that," Su Mo suddenly brought up the past matter.

Hearing Su Mo's words, the old fire dragon and his wife showed expressions of immense surprise and joy. This great lord actually remembered our names because of that?

Before they could start refusing, someone interjected.

"Lord Su Mo, you're mistaken. It was the Demon Lord Algol who attacked Salamandra and stole Virtual Star Tai Sui. It was you, Lord Su Mo, who returned the Another Cosmology to Salamandra after defeating the Demon Lord Algol. In theory, they should be the ones thanking you!" Canary said with a playful wink and a cheerful smile.

"Let's just say it was like that," Su Mo nodded slightly.

Back then, to avoid implicating too many people, they had indeed used a deceptive tactic. Now, there was no need to hide it anymore.

As the master of the Christian church, even if people found out the truth, no one would dare to pursue the matter.

"Indeed, it is we who should be grateful for Lord Su Mo's kindness!" The old fire dragon, slightly stunned by Canary's sudden shifting of credit, immediately accepted it and went with the flow, making himself the one who needed to be thankful.

He knew that showing off one's kindness to a high-level existence was the most foolish thing to do. What was truly useful was to deepen the connection between them.

So, after speaking, he immediately added, "And regarding the role ofVirtual Star Tai Sui, Archangel Michael has already given us many gifts in return. It is thanks to this that we were able to pass the trials of the upper god-groups so quickly and become a four-digit community. Lord Su Mo has already bestowed more than enough grace upon us."

Seeing the old fire dragon being so savvy, Canary was happy to relax.

She also explained, "Lord Su Mo may not have paid attention, but Archangel Michael has been very diligent recently. All the communities that helped you in that battle have been sufficiently rewarded by him."

Unbeknownst to Su Mo, this diligent subordinate had been managing the god-system and Little Garden with great order.

With his fanatical faith in Su Mo, those who had helped him had been rewarded tenfold.

If Salamandra hadn't refused to be incorporated because they belonged to the Taoist god-system, they would have long been under the protection of the Christian church and moved to a four-digit headquarters.

"That's good," Su Mo nodded.

"Salamandra is developing quite well now. After becoming a four-digit community, it won't be long before they can move to a four-digit Outer Gate and truly lead the community's glory back to the era of the Star Sea Dragon King," Canary introduced. "Currently, aside from lacking a qualified heir, they have no other worries."

Hearing Canary say this, the old fire dragon's eyes showed a hint of excitement. He finally realized what Canary was trying to say. Sure enough...

"And it just so happens that they recently gave birth to a daughter of good potential, who is currently in danger." Canary pointed to the dragon egg in front of Maxwell's Demon, her meaning crystal clear. "Is Lord Su Mo willing to show his mercy for this?" she asked, feigning ignorance while tapping her lips.

Hearing this, the old fire dragon and his wife's eyes also lit up with excitement. They had said they were willing to abandon their child because the community's reputation was more important than life.

Now that there was a chance, they naturally didn't want to lose their daughter in their old age.

If there was no other way, then so be it. But now that a god had personally arrived, how could they not feel hopeful?

Faced with Canary's pointless question, Su Mo didn't answer. Instead, for the first time, he finally turned his gaze to Maxwell's Demon.

Maxwell's Demon instantly felt as if he had been plunged into an icy abyss.

No one could feel the pressure he was under at this moment.

As a pure pervert, he didn't care about the disputes of Little Garden, had never heard of Su Mo's name, and had no idea who this black-haired, black-eyed man was.

But from the moment Su Mo descended, he had been enduring an immense pressure that no one else felt. The overwhelming pressure had even frozen time and space, only allowing his thoughts to race on.

He tried desperately to break free from this state of being stuck in mud, only to find that his body and limbs were completely unresponsive.

In that moment, he understood. No matter who Su Mo was, he was undoubtedly a devastatingly powerful being far beyond his own level.

Therefore, even though he knew he was immortal, even though he was confident he wouldn't be killed by ordinary attacks, the moment he saw Su Mo, his biological instincts screamed at him: Run, run as far as you can!

The alarms blaring in his mind and his completely disobedient body had once driven him to the brink of despair. He had never realized he was so cowardly. He could clearly escape, yet he couldn't make a single move.

Just as he was about to completely fall into despair when Su Mo officially looked over, he suddenly found a pleasant surprise. Huh? That immense pressure is gone. I can move again?

Realizing this, Maxwell's Demon immediately decided to follow the warning in his heart and leave using his inherent talent.

"Lord Su Mo, watch out! He's trying to escape!" Croix noticed and warned him.

Boundary-type Gifts were extremely rare even in Little Garden.

If used well, one could even escape from a three-digit-level powerhouse.

Only a powerhouse who also controlled a Boundary Gate could keep up with a boundary user. To defeat him, one had to act before he could escape.

Otherwise, no matter how powerful one was, it would be useless if they couldn't find the target.

Croix's warning was very timely, but Su Mo made no move. Seeing this, Maxwell's Demon was overjoyed and immediately activated his Gift.

And so... one second, two seconds...

After three seconds, the initial surprise and relief had all turned into cold sweat clinging to Maxwell's Demon's heart. "How is this possible? Why can't I use the Boundary Gate?"

He had tried dozens of times in just three seconds.

The Boundary Gate, which he could normally summon as easily as a natural talent, was now completely sealed, unresponsive. If he hadn't tried it himself, he wouldn't have even realized there was a problem with his Gift.

Confirming that he could not perform a boundary transfer, Maxwell's Demon's face turned pale.

He looked at Su Mo in utter horror. "It was you? You! What did you do? Who the hell are you?!" he shrieked, his horror bordering on madness.

No wonder the other party had released the pressure. It was because he was certain he couldn't escape.

But even a three-digit congenital god couldn't possibly seal his boundary power. Who on earth was this guy?

Seeing this scene, even Canary's eyes couldn't help but sparkle with a strange light. She knew Su Mo had a hundred ways to deal with him, but she never expected it to be like this.

Using a higher authority to directly lock down the opponent's Gift, ignoring their will. As far as she knew, there should only be one person in all of Little Garden who could do that.

"No way, that Queen actually shared even this with you?" her thoughts raced, and Canary quickly figured something out, asking with great surprise.
