"Related to Typhon?"
Kudou Asuka turned her curious gaze to Typhon's avatar.
From Azi Dahaka's statement, she too felt immense pressure, realizing that the avatar of The End Emptiness was likely an unsolvable problem, even for one who knew all the details.
For an avatar of a half-step single-digit being, such a reaction was to be expected.
What she was curious about was, what was the connection between The End Emptiness and Typhon?
If Lord Su Mo was truly raising them specifically to hunt The End Emptiness, then why had he arranged for them to overcome these particular Demon Kings?
Could it be that the method to overcome The End Emptiness was related to these Demon Kings?
Faced with everyone's confusion, Typhon—who had taken down the Absolute Demon King in a mutual kill and had all his Spiritual Status sealed by Ame-no-Murakumo, effectively allowing himself to be subjugated and sacrificed by Kudou Asuka—did not hide anything.
"My lady should be aware that I was born on Crete, I am the heir to the Minoan kingdom, a test subject for the Third Stellar Particle, and I possess a Spiritual Status mass comparable to the island of Atlantis, as well as a robust physique."
Typhon closed his eyes and posed a question.
"Don't you all find it strange? Why do I, someone born on Crete, possess a Spiritual Status mass comparable to the island of Atlantis? In your understanding, the island of Atlantis is one that exists only in myth and legend, is it not?"
The lost city of Atlantis was a common cultural reference in modern society.
This island, which did not actually exist, was recorded in a great deal of mythological material, leading to the belief that it had either sunk or never existed at all.
Crete, on the other hand, was an island at the southernmost tip of the Aegean Sea, the fifth-largest island in the Mediterranean, and now a popular tourist destination.
Even with the tradition of "the king is the state," the concept of mass contained within Typhon's Spiritual Status should have pointed to Crete, not Atlantis.
But that was not the case.
"Why?"
Izayoi asked bluntly.
"I have indeed wondered about that, but I never found an answer. I actually looked into the legends of Atlantis, but in my opinion, this lost island doesn't exist. At least, I spent three months searching the Mediterranean seabed and didn't find a single trace."
Two years ago, when Izayoi was still in his period of traveling and learning, he was deeply interested in the world's civilizations and their most incredible mysteries, and he investigated every question personally.
With his superhuman physique, he could easily perform explorations that others in modern society could not, such as withstanding the water pressure to search for ancient ruins at the bottom of the sea.
If he wanted to, he could drill from one side of the Earth to the other with just a drill bit.
Yet even so, he had not found a single clue.
This was enough to prove that the so-called island of Atlantis did not exist, or at least, it had not sunk to the bottom of the sea due to a tsunami.
He was very confident in the results of his search.
"The seabed?"
Hearing Izayoi's statement, Typhon shook his head.
"If you search on the seabed, you will naturally never find it."
At these words, everyone was slightly taken aback.
"If not on the seabed, where else could it be?"
When an island is destroyed, what other possibility is there besides being swallowed by the sea?
"It can't be in the sky, can it?"
Percher quipped, exasperated.
"It is in the sky."
Typhon nodded with great solemnity. His serious expression stunned everyone.
He didn't look like he was joking, but if this wasn't a joke, what could it be?
Judging from the mass of Typhon's Spiritual Status, the island of Atlantis was far larger than Crete, or even Sardinia. Even if such a massive island encountered a natural disaster, at most it would sink.
How on earth could it be in the sky?
The room was silent for over ten seconds before Izayoi stroked his chin and finally spoke.
"The sinking of an island of this magnitude is generally caused by geological activity, most likely the result of plate tectonics, manifesting as earthquakes, tsunamis, or volcanic eruptions."
For an island, these three common types of crustal movement could be one and the same.
An earthquake can trigger an underwater volcanic eruption and also cause a tsunami; it wouldn't be strange for all three disasters to occur simultaneously.
"But even so, I can't imagine what kind of force could hurl an entire island into the sky!"
"Are you sure you're talking about actual history, and not some fairy tale?"
"Of course it's not a fairy tale. They weren't in fashion back then."
Typhon shook his head.
"As for whether such a thing could happen... do you believe that our mother planet is incapable of unleashing power on that scale? Or have you humans truly come to take the planet's doting love for granted, thinking you only need to accept the Gift of the Stars, and not the star's wrath?"
This counter-question stunned them, and Izayoi quickly realized something.
"You mean to say, the disappearance of Atlantis was really the result of Earth's abnormal geological activity? But besides the still-disputed case of Atlantis, nothing like that has ever happened in history!"
With the energy stored within the Earth, blowing up not just a mere island but the entire crust would not be difficult.
But according to past records and experience, humanity seemed to have never observed geological activity of that magnitude.
A single, uncorroborated case proves nothing.
What kind of power would it take to blast an island into the sky?
The claim was impossible to believe, and yet—
"What's so strange about that?"
Typhon asked back in a perfectly calm tone.
"To date, the eruption of the Third Stellar Particle has also only occurred a very small number of times, has it not?"
"Have you all not realized it yet? Isn't the existence of the Third Stellar Particle the best proof of abnormal geological activity?"
At these words, the entire room fell into silence.
