Alphael and the rest of the large pack were bewildered. After all they were minding their own business until they were unwillingly teleported here.
Alphael clutched his Rubik's cube and focused. Sweat dripping from his forehead he scanned his surroundings and tried ignoring the panic of the others.
Firstly, he noticed that the current area had a variety of hills and mountains which were also bearing small forests.
"Noted"
Although he should have continued analysing he could not ignore the sheer beauty of this biome. It was surreal, the sun was brighter than the one he previously knew. It perfectly highlighted the picturesque scenery he was in not to mention that the short grass below him was a stunning turquoise.
Alphael froze "The grass… is blue?
Just as he had finally realised it, the patch of grass that he was gawking at turned red.
Smiling, Alphael asked himself, "It can do that!?"
He happily turned back seeing if anyone else noticed this seemingly colour changing terrain. His smile had contorted to a face with pure horror.
His eyes had met with 4 titanic beasts gorging upon the newly found goods, smearing their blood all over the turquoise grounds dying it in a harsh crimson that had saw earlier.
These beasts were larger than almost all of the buildings he had seen. In their own way, they resembled crows, of course only gargantuan versions of them.
Arguably, the most shocking thing about them was their wingspan it was twice as big as the body itself which were only expanded upon by their large and razor talons.
Although their terrifying appearance, Alphael could not help but notice that on the visage of these behemoth there was a layer on them. It wasn't the same dark colour of their feathers, it was white and it did not look natural at all.
His eyes widened, "Are those masks? Why do they have masks?! Is it some psycho's pet!?"
His questions would temporarily be put on hold. As the large population of people all had the same idea. Survive. A stampede was among him. Before he could react he was barraged by bodies of people who sprinting away for their lives.
Stumbling, Alphael would join in the marathon too. He followed a large group running toward an azure forest. Looking back he saw at least 30 people being devoured by the beasts.
Since they had beaks, he witnessed the crows having to crush their meals in their mouths before swallowing whilst in the mean time using there talons to pick up their seconds.
The poor souls couldn't even die quickly, they had to feel their bodies shatter before their end. This thought made Alphael turn around and gag.
"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die." he chanted to himself.
Joining the group they entered the azure forest. One person, who was near the front, scurried onto a tree and threw up. The man's hacking, coughing and sobbing filled Alphael's innocent ears.
Almost running past him, the man accidentally brushed his hand on a strange plant. The plant's leaves burst open and launched a spore onto the man's head. The poor victim clutched his face and dropped to the ground immediately clawing at his skin desperately choking on his own vomit.
The man died.
"The forest isn't safe either!?"
Alphael nearly threw up himself but swallowed it, not wanting to suffer the same fate.
Unfortunately that fate would not favour him today. A giant shadow instantly went past them. Alphael's heart sank. He knew what was above him and frankly he wished he never did. But we the crow had other plans.
The blue trees shook violently and lapis leaves scattered the area. The giant had landed in front of the fleeing party.
After all it wasn't satisfied with its appetiser.
