Chapter 80 - Harvesting

It was always troublesome dealing with beasts that traveled in herds. But beasts that could fly as well?

That was on an entirely different level.

The herd of devil flies suddenly shot upward, climbing to a terrifying height before plunging down in a single, unified descent, like an arrow loosed from the heavens.

Too fast.

Quinn rolled hard to the side, dirt spraying as he twisted back onto his feet.

The flying beasts adjusted instantly, curving their fall with terrifying precision. Quinn seized the brief opening and slammed his palm into the ground.

An earth wall erupted upward at his command.

He thickened it instantly, pouring layer after layer of compacted earth into the structure, reinforcing it as the first wave of impact came crashing down.

The fact that these monsters were advanced tier only worsened the situation.

Without hesitation, Quinn expanded the structure, shaping the earth into a dome around himself, solid, one foot thick.

The moment it sealed, the devil flies collided.

The pressure hit immediately.

His hands trembled as mana drained steadily, the relentless assault hammering from all sides. The sound was deafening.

Sharp beaks striking stone again and again.

Still… he had plenty of mana left.

MC 320/390 For now.

Quinn stopped reinforcing the dome, forcing himself to think. He couldn't hide here forever, and he had to do it fast.

His heart pounded as the attacks didn't relent. Instead, they changed. He could feel it.

The beasts were circling, striking from different angles, coordinating their assault.

Cracks began to spider across the earthen shell.

Shit… what am I going to do?

He closed his eyes and focused.

Waited.

Seconds before collapse, the cracks widened, fragments crumbling loose.

Quinn bent his knees, muscles coiling like springs. Wind mana gathered violently around his arms, building the pressure inside at a terrifying rate.

Outside, the devil flies launched themselves again, accelerating to lethal speed, angling their bodies so each impact sent destructive vibrations through the weakened wall.

Then—

The shell exploded outward in a cloud of dust and shattered stone.

Quinn shot straight into the sky.

The beasts surged after him from every direction, converging to seize their prey.

Quinn spread his arms wide.

The air shifted.

Dust began to spiral, first slowly, then faster—violently. The wind screamed as a massive vortex formed, pulling everything inward.

A tornado.

The devil flies struggled instantly, their wings faltering as the suction tore at them. Dust thickened the air, moisture gathering rapidly, static electricity crawling across the storm like invisible veins.

This was all Quinns doing.

The tornado expanded, swallowing the entire swarm.

Then a deafening roar tore through the sky.

Lightning erupted—blinding flashes ripping through the spinning column. Thunder followed in relentless succession as electricity surged through the moisture-laden winds.

The devil flies shrieked in agony, their cries drowned out by the storm as their bodies convulsed, wings burning, shells cracking.

To an outside observer, only a nightmare remained—a colossal, lightning-wreathed tornado raging against the sky.

It lasted a full minute.

By the time it ended, Quinn was already on the ground.

He dropped to his knees, breath ragged, veins throbbing as wind and earth continued to spiral around him. The strain was immense—controlling such forces pushed his limits hard, and this was his first time, using the lightning ability.

The way Quinn used was crude in nature, and that was because Quinn never had the proper training, to use it precise, but it was also terryfing.

Only having 5/8 in lighning attributes also meant that the potency was low, but it was compensated by pouring more MC into it. and this was the reason his current MC dropped to 19/390 .

Then the system messages flooded in.

You have defeated a Devil FlyYou have defeated a Devil FlyYou have defeated a Devil Fly…

More than 25 notifications stacked rapidly.

The system notifiction confirmed him that the beasts were dead so Quinn released the flow of mana.

The winds weakened, the earth lost cohesion, and the storm collapsed inward.

Quinn lifted his head into the sky, and watched the momentum failing as quick realisation hit him with the last few manna he had left he instantly hardened his body, turning his skin as solid as stone.

Thud.Thud.Thud.

Dead beasts rained from the sky, slamming into the ground around him. Black blood splattered the earth, some corpses releasing hot vapor as residual electricity burned through them.

Silence followed.

Quinn remained kneeling, slowly lifting his head to take in the devastation surrounding him.

StQuinn exhaled slowly, exhaustion finally settling into his bones as the battlefield lay still around him.

Quinn had a weak smile as he muttered,"Atleast I can reach level 30 sooner."

He stood up tired and made a sharp knife from earth ability.

"It's time for Harvest..."
