Super Little Cell was still tirelessly trying to indoctrinate Majin Buu. At that moment, Son Goku once again turned his gaze toward Vegeta.

"Vegeta, this Super Saiyan 4 form feels really amazing! Can you teach me how to do it too?" Son Goku's true intention was finally revealed as he circled around Vegeta, grinning and acting all flattering.

Vegeta snorted and turned his back, clearly not interested in dealing with Goku.

But Goku kept pestering him: "Come on, Vegeta, I'm begging you! Please teach me! I'll trade you my Instant Transmission technique for it!"

"Tch! Who cares? Your Instant Transmission isn't even as good as Kibito's!" Vegeta complained.

"Unless... you admit that I, Vegeta, am stronger than you! Then I'll tell you how to transform!"

"Really?!" Goku lit up like a child on Christmas morning.

In the next second, he solemnly declared in a very serious tone: "I, Son Goku! A Saiyan whose true name is Kakarot! I admit that Vegeta is stronger than me!"

Then he turned to look at Vegeta again, grinning cheekily: "That should be good enough, right, Vegeta?"

Vegeta was speechless. He froze in place. He never expected the man he had spent his whole life chasing… to be this shameless.

In that instant, all the effort he had poured into surpassing Goku suddenly felt meaningless. 'How did he ever end up getting caught in this lifelong rivalry with someone like this?'

After a long silence, Vegeta finally snapped back to reality: "Hmph, Kakarot… I didn't think you'd give up so easily. It's honestly disappointing. But fine, I'll tell you how."

"First, you need a tail, and only Elder Kai can draw that out."

As soon as he said that, Goku placed a hand on Vegeta's shoulder,

Whoosh--!

In a flash, the two disappeared from the scene and arrived at the Kaiōshin Realm.

Goku eagerly exclaimed to Elder Kai: "Ah! Now I understand why Vegeta had Elder Kai pull out his tail! Elder Kai, please help me bring my tail back too!"

Their sudden arrival left Shin (the Supreme Kai) and Elder Kai caught completely off guard.

Seeing how eager Goku was, Elder Kai couldn't help but splash a bucket of cold water on his excitement: "Your tail? Sure, I can draw it out. But if you want to reach Vegeta's level, the tail alone isn't enough."

"You're still dead. Your physical body just isn't as strong as when you were alive. If you really want to attain that level of power, you'll have to come back to life."

The moment those words were spoken, Goku's face fell. He knew very well how difficult it would be for him to come back to life.

In this timeline, he had died of a heart disease, which meant even the Dragon Balls couldn't bring him back.

That's why he hadn't been able to intervene in Earth's crisis until now.

How could he not want to protect his wife, his friends, his son… to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Vegeta and fight once more? And now, just as he was about to walk the path toward Super Saiyan 4, the cruel reality of being dead slammed into him once again.

Goku remained silent for a moment, then sighed in disappointment:

"In that case, I'll give it up. At the very least, since I'm dead, I can maintain Super Saiyan 3 in the afterlife without leaking energy." He consoled himself, muttering quietly.

Watching Son Goku with that kind of expression, Vegeta clenched his fist and suddenly punched him in the chest.

"You idiot! Kakarot! There has to be a way! As the Saiyan Prince, I command you, pull yourself together!"

Son Goku didn't dodge the punch. On the contrary, he took it willingly.

He lowered his voice and smiled gently: "Heh… Vegeta, I'll train well in the Other World. Earth will be fine as long as it has you, Trunks, and Gohan. If danger comes again, I'll ask Baba to bring me back to Earth, just like today."

There was a note of peaceful acceptance in Goku's tone. Seeing him like this, Vegeta felt the same way, and placed a hand on Goku's shoulder.

"Kakarot, I'll be waiting for the day you become even stronger."

The atmosphere between the two reached a somber, emotional peak…

Until a sudden cough broke their moment.

Elder Kai said dryly: "Hey, you two, could you finish listening to me before you start acting like blood brothers?"

At that, Vegeta instantly moved his hand off Kakarot's shoulder.

"Tch! Who's brothers with him? His own brother was killed by his hand, remember?"

Elder Kai chuckled, then continued: "Since the problem's already in front of us… Why not just revive him? Wouldn't that solve everything?"

Though Elder Kai spoke softly, the words hit Son Goku like thunder. In that instant, everyone, Goku, Vegeta, and Supreme Kai Shin, turned to look at Elder Kai.

Goku exclaimed in shock: "Elder Kai! Are you serious?! I died from a heart disease! Even the Dragon Balls couldn't revive me! Besides, the Earth Dragon Balls and the Namekian ones have both disappeared!"

Elder Kai just chuckled and said to Goku: "Hmph, the Dragon Balls? Wish orbs made by Namekians. Yes, they're amazing, capable of granting almost any wish… But because they were made by Namekians, they come with some limitations."

"I, however, am a Kaiōshin from fifteen generations ago. I've seen and learned more than you could imagine. My abilities go beyond what you're familiar with. This is the terrifying power of a pre-fifteen-generations Kaiōshin!"

"So listen up! I can bring you back to life!"

Despite his old voice, it carried a force that reignited the hope in everyone's hearts.

Supreme Kai Shin looked at Elder Kai with admiration. Even Vegeta felt genuinely happy for Goku in that moment.

Goku asked with great anticipation: "Then, Elder Kai, can you really revive me?!"

Elder Kai nodded. "In honor of you all saving the universe from chaos and destruction, I'll give you the rest of my thousand years of life, Son Goku."

This shocking news made both Shin and Vegeta break into wide smiles.

But Goku, surprisingly, wore a solemn expression.

His brow twitched as he asked: "Elder Kai… Does that mean you'll die if you give me your lifespan?"

Elder Kai nodded calmly. "Yes. But honestly, whether I'm dead or alive doesn't really make a difference at this point."

Goku spoke with gravity: "So this means… we only get one shot?"

"Exactly. A once-in-a-lifetime chance."

Suddenly, Goku broke into a big grin:

"That's great! Then I've decided, I won't be revived! I think there's someone else out there who needs that revival more than me!"
