The sudden turn of events left Paragus completely bewildered.

He had thought that Z-Broly was simply lost in thought, perhaps overwhelmed by memories, that he'd just need some time to sort things out. He never expected this. Z-Broly wasn't just refusing to face reality; he was running away from it entirely.

Paragus reached out, trying to stop him, but Z-Broly's speed was terrifying. In the blink of an eye, he had vanished without a trace.

Seeing this, Super Broly quickly tried to reassure his father. "Father! I'll go after my brother!"

With that, Super Broly shot into the sky, chasing the rapidly receding figure.

But the very next second, a familiar presence appeared before him. It was Trunks.

Whoosh,!

Trunks placed a hand on Super Broly's shoulder, and the two of them instantly disappeared.

Outer Atmosphere, Above Earth

Far beyond the planet's surface, as Z-Broly sped through the void of space, two figures suddenly materialized in his path.

Super Broly locked eyes with his brother, looking utterly puzzled. "Brother… what's wrong with you?!"

Z-Broly's reply was a furious snarl: "Get lost! Stop meddling in my business!"

Trunks, however, looked on with clear amusement, genuinely intrigued by the exchange between the brothers. He wanted to understand the chaos raging inside Z-Broly's mind.

Super Broly asked, "Since you've remembered everything about your past, why won't you stay and live with us?"

A mocking laugh burst from Z-Broly's lips. "Heh… live together?"

"I grew up alone on a strange planet! I survived using only my own power! That has nothing to do with any of you!"

"And you, stop pretending to care!"

Then, glaring at Trunks, he roared, "And you! The name Broly belongs to me! Who told you to give it to someone else?!"

Trunks tilted his head slightly, surprised that the brute actually cared about something so trivial. "Well, what can I say? You're the younger one, and weaker than your brother. I needed a way to tell you apart."

His casual remark was like salt poured directly into Z-Broly's emotional wounds. Still, seeing him actually reasoning instead of instantly raging was… oddly refreshing.

Z-Broly growled, "Hmph! Brother? I have no brother!"

"I know you're strong, but from now on, my goal is to surpass you!"

"You… and you!" he shouted, pointing at both Trunks and Super Broly. "I'll defeat you both myself!"

"I'll make you understand, there can only be one Broly!"

"So stop trying to persuade me."

"I'm sick of Earth!"

Z-Broly's voice thundered through the emptiness of space, every word carrying the full weight of his frustration. It was, perhaps, the most articulate thing he had ever said in his life.

His face was red, his breath ragged, but what burned hottest inside him was the realization that the man he had despised for so many years... turned out to be the son of his own savior. After learning that truth, Z-Broly simply couldn't accept it.

And so, after a long inner struggle, he had finally made his decision. He would leave Earth behind, return to the person he once was.

But the past few years on Earth, and this entire encounter, had changed him. His mind had matured. He was no longer the arrogant, mindless beast he once had been. He had finally come to understand that there are always people stronger than himself, and skies higher than his own.

From this moment onward, he swore to abandon the self that once went mad at the mere sight of Son Goku. And now, what he needed was to leave this painful place called Earth behind and venture into the vastness of space to train.

Z-Broly's words surprised Trunks, he hadn't expected the guy to be capable of saying so much. Trunks brought his hands together with a smattering of applause.

"Well said. So what are your plans now?" Trunks asked.

Z-Broly snorted coldly. "None of your business!"

With that, he swept away, soaring into the boundless cosmos.

Super Broly wanted to stop him, but Trunks caught him with a single hand. "Don't bother. He's made up his mind, no one can stop him now."

Super Broly had no choice but to relent.

Watching Z-Broly's figure recede, Trunks raised his voice one last time and warned him: "I don't care what you do, but if you go back to harming others like before, your brother and I will find you immediately. You'd better behave yourself."

Sound can't normally travel through the vacuum of space, but in the Dragon Ball world, Trunks's words still reached Z-Broly's ears. Z-Broly merely snorted in disdain and kept flying.

Trunks and Super Broly instant-teleported back to Earth together. They told the others about Z-Broly's decision to leave. Upon hearing it, Paragus finally felt some relief.

"Let him go then…"

The Mechanical World of M2. In the immensity of space, Z-Broly roamed.

Because his bloodline was unusual, different from ordinary Saiyans, he could survive in the vacuum. This was not his first time flying through space. Years earlier, during the riots in the Southern Galaxy, he had likewise traversed the cosmos using only his body.

The original movie canon had already hinted at this trait: even when cast into space, he did not die. After many years, he had returned to Earth; this ability to survive in space was something ordinary Saiyans simply couldn't match.

At that moment, on a mechanical world called M2, Z-Broly's flight through space was being tracked and displayed on electronic screens. An elder watched in shock as the footage played.

"Who… who is that? How can someone have that kind of ability? To survive and travel through space with nothing but flesh and blood!"

Beside him, a figure swaggered up, his tail swaying. Cooler spoke to the old man: "Dr. Raki, there's no need to make such a fuss. It's just someone flying in space, I can do that too."

"But he looks strong. Why don't we recruit him into our ranks?" Cooler added with a sinister smile.

Dr. Raki peered at the screen and said thoughtfully, "It might be worth a try. If we could recruit him, our team would gain tremendous strength."

"But… I can sense, that person is a Saiyan!" As he said it, Dr. Raki's eyes widened sharply.

Cooler nodded slightly. "Oh? In that case, should we just kill him?"

The next instant, Dr. Raki's face grew sly. "I have a better idea."
