Chapter 26 - Chapter 26_ Old Ghost, New Fire

*Loveth's POV*

The message stayed burned in my mind. *"The past isn't over."* It was vague, chilling — and somehow more terrifying than Miracle's betrayal. This wasn't just about heartbreak anymore. This was about danger. Real, looming danger.

Ethan stood beside me, jaw clenched. "Whoever this is, they've been watching us."

"And they waited until we were healing," I murmured. "To rip it all open again."

---

*Ethan's POV*

I started digging. Numbers, names, old contacts. There were pieces of my past I hoped I'd buried, but now I needed to face them. One stood out — *Vincent*. A name I hadn't said out loud in years. He used to be my business partner... before things turned dark.

I looked at Loveth. "If it's who I think it is, we're dealing with someone dangerous. Someone who holds a grudge."

---

*Miracle's POV*

I listened quietly as Ethan spoke. I knew Vincent. He had tried to involve me once, back when Ethan and I were still... whatever we were. But I walked away.

"He's vengeful," I said. "And obsessed with destroying what he can't control."

---

*Loveth's POV*

Just when I thought we were done with secrets, life handed us another monster. But I wasn't the same fragile girl anymore. I had scars now — and I wasn't afraid to fight.

"What does he want?"

---

*Ethan's POV*

"Revenge. And probably... me out of the way."

---

*Miracle's POV*

"And if he can't hurt Ethan directly, he'll come for what Ethan loves."

She didn't need to say it — we both knew who that meant.

---

*Loveth's POV*

I stood up. "Then we fight smart. We gather evidence. We get ahead of him. We end this before he even begins."

---

*Ethan's POV*

I'd seen Loveth angry. I'd seen her heartbroken. But this version — calm, fierce, commanding — she was a force. And I was in awe.

---

*Miracle's POV*

For the first time, we were united — not in pain, not in betrayal — but in purpose.

And this time, we weren't backing down.

---

*Loveth's POV (closing lines)*

This wasn't just about love anymore. This was about survival. And I wasn't losing another piece of my peace.

Let the war begin.
