Chapter 6 - Chapter 5 - Steel Baptism

Shojiro Momo: (Revised: The Fear, The Fist, The Fall)

"I was supposed to be stronger now.

So why the hell… was I shaking?"

Scene 1 — Ruined Earth: Year 221 A.R. (After Rift)

Two centuries had passed.

Earth was no longer blue — it was dark, crimson-veined, and fractured. Floating landmasses dotted the sky, tethered by demon flesh and arcane roots.

Once-great cities were now bone citadels. Humanity had dwindled to scattered survivor sanctuaries, hiding from demonic warlords who evolved beyond mortal comprehension.

Scene 2 — The Return: Craterfall

The clouds split. Lightning cracked open the sky.

A comet of red flame crashed through the heavens — screaming like a blade through flesh.

When the smoke cleared…

Shojiro Momo knelt in a crater the size of a stadium, half-steaming, half-naked. His body pulsed with heat. Muscles tighter. Denser.

But his heart?

Racing.

Scene 3 — The Berserker Arrives

A thunderous howl echoed across the ruins.

Footsteps.

Heavy. Ground-shaking.

From the edge of the city came a monstrous shape — over 12 feet tall, horned, eyes ablaze. Its jagged teeth were coated in melted bone. Its name lost to time.

But Shojiro recognized it instantly.

Shojiro (whispers):

"...A Berserker Demon."

It was the same class that killed his father.

The same class that killed him.

And for the first time since the Cradle…

Shojiro froze.

Scene 4 — Fear Grips the Chosen

He backed away slightly.

> His breath hitched.

Muscles tightened — not in battle-readiness, but in fear.

Shojiro (thoughts spiraling):

No. No. No. That's a Berserker-class. I couldn't even beat it before.

Not alone.

Not like this.

What if I die again?

The demon charged.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.

Its roar shook the sky.

Shojiro closed his eyes.

Then—

Scene 5 — The Remembering

A voice echoed in his soul.

Kaiser's voice.

"You are not the same man who fell.

You are Brute-Class. Muscle-born. Steel-baptized.

You do not run from death.

You give it directions."

Shojiro opened his eyes.

The glow in his irises returned.

The fear?

Evaporated.

He stepped forward calmly as the demon lunged.

Scene 6 — One Punch — Divine Evisceration

Shojiro exhaled. Planted his heel. Flexed.

His fist blurred.

WHOOOOOM

His punch landed clean into the Berserker's upper chest and the result was apocalyptic:

The demon's entire upper torso vaporized into ash, bone shards, and black mist.

Its spine flew out like a loose wire.

Its heart never even got the chance to realize it had stopped.

Shojiro's fist still buzzed from the aftershock.

Shojiro (calmly turning away):

"...That wasn't so bad."

Scene 7 — But It Wasn't Over

Behind him, something twitched.

Berserker Demons have two lives.

Always have. Always will.

Shojiro had forgotten.

The lower half of the demon's body recoiled, then rebuilt itself upward, forming a semi-formed torso made of rage and instinct.

It lunged from behind — claws aimed straight for Shojiro's skull.

SLASH—

But—

CLANG.

The claws struck Shojiro's back.

Did.

Nothing.

His skin didn't bleed.

His body didn't move.

The air didn't even stir.

Shojiro stopped walking.

Shojiro (disappointed):

"...Right. Second life."

Scene 8 — One More Punch

He turned without ceremony.

And punched the Berserker in the face.

The entire demon's upper half detonated again, this time more violently the shockwave shattering nearby ruins and cratering the earth in a perfect circle.

Nothing remained but smoking legs…

which finally crumbled into dust.

Scene 9 — Steel-Born Confirmed

Shojiro stood, alone.

No cheers.

No soundtrack.

"Hope is a dangerous sound.

Especially when demons still have ears."

Scene 10 — The Signal Breaks Through

As the dust cleared and demon remains crumbled around Shojiro, something unexpected broke the silence.

A distorted crackle. A mechanical hum.

From behind the wreckage of a rusted skyscraper, a half-buried radio station tower flickered to life — triggered by the impact or perhaps fate itself.

Shojiro turned toward the sound as an old speaker burst through static.

RADIO BROADCAST —[201-YEAR DELAYED SURVIVOR FREQUENCY]

"...To anyone still out there... if you're hearing this, then you're not alone."

"This is Relay Node 7. Humanity still breathes."

"We have water. Food. Clean skies. Protection. A place where demons don't reach."

"We call it… Last Vegas."

"Come. Follow the red moons west. Survive… and you'll be free."

Shojiro (softly):

"...Paradise still exists?"

Scene 11 — But Sound Carries

The speaker went quiet.

But the sound traveled far.

Too far.

All around the crumbled city, things began to move.

Demon 1 — "Nyghoul"

High above the skyline, the skies blackened.

Out from the ruins of hollowed-out spires came batlike aerial demons, covered in acidic membranes and shredded wings — eyes burning with sonar rage.

> They were called Nyghouls —

Silent fliers that locate prey through resonance.

Demon 2 — "Rendracers"

From the underground, the concrete began to rumble.

Cracks opened as slender, quad-legged demons burst out, darting at impossible speeds — twitching, stuttering, limbs dragging erratically.

These were Rendracers —

Speed-class demons that cut through targets before screams could form.

Others Too — Wraiths. Berserkers. Watchers.

Across the horizon, dust clouds rose.

Howls echoed.

Red sigils burned.

The sound had woken all of them.

From sewer lines, towers, bone halls, and rift fractures, they came crawling, climbing, running, swarming toward the signal's origin.

All drawn to that radio voice.

All drawn… to Shojiro Momo.

Scene 12 — Shojiro Stands Alone

He heard it.

Felt it.

The vibrations of hundreds — maybe thousands — of demons converging.

But he didn't run.

Instead, he removed what was left of his tattered pants leg and tied it around his fist like a bandage.

His other hand cracked his neck.

"A hundred... two hundred… doesn't matter."

"If Last Vegas is real… I'll clear the road for the next to follow."

Final Image — Fade to Black

He stood at the center of the ruined street.

The red glow of demon eyes closed in from every direction.

Above — wings shrieked.

Below — claws clattered.

Ahead — death sprinted.

Shojiro took one step forward…

And smiled.

"Then come.

Baptize me in your blood."
