"Don't misunderstand," Naruto said, his tone solemn.
"I'm not talking about a false resurrection like Edo Tensei. I mean a true, genuine resurrection."
Tsunade froze, her anger instantly cooling at the conviction in his voice.
Naruto continued, "You've heard of the Rinnegan, right?"
"The Rinnegan?" Tsunade frowned.
"You mean the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths?"
"That's right," Naruto nodded.
"The Sage's eyes—the Rinnegan—possess the power to bring people back to life."
Tsunade's expression hardened.
"You said it yourself—those are the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths. What do they have to do with reviving my grandfather or granduncle?"
Naruto raised a hand, motioning for her to calm down.
"To answer that, we need to go back to the origins of the Senju and Uchiha Clans."
"The Senju and Uchiha?" she repeated, skeptical.
"Yes," Naruto said firmly.
"Both clans share the same ancestor—the Sage of Six Paths."
Tsunade's eyes widened.
"That's impossible! If that were true, wouldn't that mean the Senju and Uchiha came from the same bloodline? They couldn't be more different!"
Naruto met her gaze.
"It's true. The Sage had two sons—Indra and Asura. Indra is the ancestor of the Uchiha Clan, and Asura is the ancestor of the Senju."
"One inherited the Sage's eyes and spiritual power," he explained, "while the other inherited his body and life force."
"But because Indra grew obsessed with power—and was manipulated by those who sought conflict—the brothers turned against each other. Their hatred has been reincarnated through generations. That's why the Uchiha and Senju have fought for centuries."
Tsunade's breath hitched. Naruto's words shattered her understanding of the world; it felt like a curtain had been lifted, revealing truths hidden since ancient times.
Naruto added, "The Uzumaki Clan, too, are descendants of Asura—descendants of the Sage himself."
Tsunade frowned.
"And what does any of this have to do with the Rinnegan?"
"It's everything," Naruto declared, voice rising.
"The ultimate evolution of the Sharingan is the Rinnegan. Once it awakens, its wielder gains the power to resurrect the dead. That means your grandfather and granduncle could return—and even my parents!"
Tsunade shook her head, refusing to be swept away by his words.
"Your theory is… impressive. But even Uchiha Madara couldn't evolve his eyes that far. You're chasing an illusion."
She crossed her arms.
"I can believe that the Sharingan might evolve into the Rinnegan—but Madara, with all his power, never achieved it. It's practically impossible."
Naruto didn't argue. Instead, he suddenly slammed his hands onto the ground. A web of sealing runes spread outward, forming a transparent barrier that enclosed the room.
Tsunade's eyes narrowed.
"What are you doing?"
"I need to make sure no one overhears what I'm about to say," Naruto replied gravely.
"Not even Black Zetsu—or anyone watching from beyond our world."
He glanced upward, his expression dark.
"There are eyes in the sky—those of the Ōtsutsuki Clan—and the Tenseigan that monitors the entire shinobi world."
Tsunade felt a chill run down her spine. "Naruto…"
He continued, his voice low and sharp.
"The Rinnegan already exists. Uchiha Madara didn't die back then—he implanted his Rinnegan into a man named Uzumaki Nagato."
Tsunade's heart skipped a beat.
"What did you say?"
Naruto's eyes hardened.
"You know him. He was one of the three war orphans Jiraiya trained in the Land of Rain. You remember, don't you?"
Tsunade's mind flashed back to Jiraiya's stories—three children he'd taken in during the war, teaching them ninjutsu before returning to Konoha years later.
She looked at Naruto's determined face, her tone grave.
"So you're saying… you want to cultivate a new pair of Rinnegan?"
Naruto nodded slightly.
Tsunade sighed, rubbing her temples.
"I'm not saying it's impossible, but creating new Rinnegan eyes is beyond any normal shinobi. Not even your optimism can make that happen. Uchiha Madara may have been a monster, but his talent was unmatched."
Her tone softened.
"Don't underestimate the scale of what you're suggesting."
Naruto smiled faintly.
"I know how difficult it is. But I'm not the same as Madara—I already know how to awaken the Rinnegan."
Tsunade stared at him, uncertain if she should be impressed or afraid.
"The Rinnegan," Naruto said quietly, "requires the chakra of the Sage of Six Paths himself. His sons inherited that chakra separately. Asura's power flows through me, and Indra's through Sasuke. When Sasuke reaches the level of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan… the Rinnegan can awaken."
In the original tale, Uchiha Madara had awakened the Rinnegan using nothing more than a fragment of Senju Hashirama's flesh.
Now, Naruto only needed to draw upon a trace of Asura's and Indra's chakra—from himself and Sasuke—to recreate the Rinnegan once more.
He suspected that the descendants of the Sage of Six Paths, such as the Uchiha and Senju Clans, possessed incomplete genetic legacies.
Perhaps Asura and Indra themselves had not been born through normal means. Each inherited only part of the Sage's divine power—one his body, the other his eyes. If their births had been extraordinary, that might explain why the Sharingan carried inherent flaws.
But for now, these thoughts were only speculation.
Naruto wasn't worried about revealing any of this to Tsunade. Sooner or later, she would learn the truth. Black Zetsu might not even be his greatest concern—his real enemies came from beyond this world.
The true threat was the Ōtsutsuki Clan—the beings who had planted the God Tree and harvested its chakra fruit.
If events unfolded as in the original timeline, the God Tree would once again drain the planet's life force, bringing catastrophe to the entire shinobi world.
Naruto met Tsunade's gaze and said calmly, "You don't need to worry about the Rinnegan. What matters is this—within three years, I'll resurrect your grandfather and great-uncle."
He paused, his tone steady and absolute.
"For that, Hashirama's cells are crucial."
Tsunade frowned, torn between disbelief and intrigue.
"Hmph… this kid—he's still young, yet already so domineering," she muttered under her breath.
But behind her sharp tone, she could see it clearly—the unwavering resolve in his eyes.
"Alright," Tsunade finally said, straightening her shoulders.
"I'll cooperate. But if you fail to keep your promise, don't blame me for turning against you."
She spoke with the weight of the Senju name. To tamper with Hashirama's cells was to disturb her grandfather's legacy itself. If Naruto failed, she would make sure he regretted it.
"Deal," Naruto said, extending his hand.
Tsunade hesitated for a heartbeat before clasping it. For the first time, she didn't look at Naruto as a boy. His eyes carried a depth and intelligence that rivaled even her master's.
Naruto handed her a small test tube.
"Hashirama Cells can suppress the side effects of the Mangekyō Sharingan. I need you to refine them—to make the fusion perfect."
With that, he turned to leave. The sealing barrier around them dissolved as Shisui followed silently behind, his mind spinning from everything he had heard.
The Senju and Uchiha… sharing the same origin?
Madara surviving the Valley of the End?
The Rinnegan… already awakened?
It was almost too much to process.
After they left, Tsunade remained where she stood, staring down at the vial of Hashirama Cells in her palm. Her expression was complex—a mix of awe, fear, and confusion.
"How does he know so much?" she murmured.
"It's as if… he can see the future."
And that was precisely why Naruto had chosen not to explain everything.
Because sometimes, what isn't said can be far more dangerous than what is.
