Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: The War to End All Wars

Since the declaration of war, Umbrella had initiated a massive mobilization.

At the Umbrella Base in the Land of Snow, Lee, Orochimaru, and Takuma Genji were already prepared. The powerful martial arts battalions—filled with surging vitality—exuded a cold and unbreakable resolve.

Lee and Orochimaru were eager, almost exhilarated. In contrast, Takuma Genji's expression carried a hint of complexity.

"Another war already?" he murmured.

He had weathered many conflicts. He understood clearly that this battle was inevitable. If they won, the Ninja World might finally usher in an age of true peace. Once all nations were unified under one banner and the old Great Villages dissolved, war would become a rarity of the past.

"Let this old man burn with passion one more time!"

His heart surged, and the immense life force within his body granted him the spirit of his youth once more.

Across the fields, the shinobi forces were equally determined. They had always been in quiet competition with the martial artists following Lee.

This would not just be a war against the outside world—this was also a contest between them.

Rows of Chakra Armor manufactured by Umbrella were distributed, shimmering under the cold sunlight.

Formations stood disciplined and grand. The atmosphere trembled with power.

Not far away, a squad of Hyūga clan snipers stood ready—each holding specially-designed Chakra sniper rifles.

They were Umbrella's assassination unit, trained to take lives swiftly on the battlefield. Their tight grips on the weapons showed how dearly they valued them.

Further beyond, the colossal form of a Chakra Cannon dominated the ground—cold steel gleaming like a monster capable of devouring the battlefield whole. Only those who understood it recognized its terrifying power.

But it would not be used recklessly. Naruto's primary aim was to defeat the Allied Shinobi Forces and recruit talent—not to reduce everything to ashes.

Meanwhile, Orochimaru had already arrived in the Land of Wind. There, he met Gaara, who officially declared Sunagakure's withdrawal from the Land of Wind. He had wagered everything on this alliance.

Jiraiya was also present. Recently obsessed with piloting fighter jets, Naruto simply made him a squadron leader—this time acting as Orochimaru's deputy commander.

Gaara formed a separate detachment, which soon converged with Umbrella's forces.

Zabuza Momochi led a contingent toward the Land of Water, responsible for intercepting Kirigakure. Because the strength in this region was somewhat lacking, Naruto dispatched Shisui, currently the strongest shinobi in Umbrella, to reinforce them.

Shisui could operate alone if necessary.

However, Tsunade received grave news:

The Shimura, Sarutobi, and several other former Konoha aristocratic clans had defected—aligning with the Land of Fire's Daimyō.

Even more shocking was that their combined shinobi number exceeded ten thousand—

—led by Asuma Sarutobi himself.

Fortunately, the majority of Konoha shinobi did not join the Daimyō's side.

Although this defection weakened Konoha once more, a dying camel was still larger than a horse. At the very least, Might Guy and a revitalized Kakashi alone were two formidable Kage-level forces.

As for Sasuke and Neji, Naruto assigned each of them a squad, while his final trump card from Konoha—Kurama Yakumo—was to be reserved for the decisive battles against Kumogakure and Iwagakure.

Those two Great Villages and their Jinchūriki could absolutely not be underestimated.

Naruto also remained wary of Obito and Black Zetsu lurking in the shadows.

Everything was prepared. All that remained was the right moment.

At the same time, the Five Great Nations grew restless. With both Konoha and Sunagakure defecting, they knew this would be an unprecedented war.

Hidden Cloud Village — Paradise Island

On the ruined training grounds of Paradise Island, Raikage A emerged amid shattered stone and dust.

His body was covered in scars—densely layered proof of endless torment. Ever since his defeat and capture by Naruto, he had subjected himself to hellish training day after day.

He fought alongside Killer Bee and even confronted the Eight-Tails itself. At times, he let his own body take the brunt of Tailed Beast Bombs.

He had nearly died more than once.

But the result was terrifying—Raikage A had now surpassed ordinary Kage level. His sheer savagery in training sent chills even through Killer Bee.

Everything he did was for vengeance.

To defeat Uzumaki Naruto.

To reclaim his pride.

At that moment, his secretary Mabui called out from a safe distance:

"Lord Raikage—the troops are ready to depart!"

She watched him from afar. Once upon a time, she had spoken to him casually, even reprimanded him occasionally. But the man that stood there now radiated a violent, beast-like intensity.

It made her chest tighten with fear.

Defeating Naruto had become his obsession. And his madness-driven training continued to push him far beyond his limits.

During this period of seclusion, the Raikage had reinforced his Lightning Release Chakra Armor, pushing the boundaries of his body with brutal training. He allowed lightning to tear through his bare flesh day after day, his skin searing, muscles tearing—only to heal and grow stronger.

Now, his physical strength was monstrous.

Even the legendary Third Raikage—his own father—had been surpassed.

With bloodshot eyes, Raikage A halted his training. An instant later, he flickered to Mabui's side in a flash of movement.

Feeling the raw, violent aura pouring from him, Mabui's heart seized. The Raikage she once knew—stern yet composed—was gone. In his place stood a beast forged by rage and vengeance.

He spoke just one word:

"Go."

Land of Earth — Brewing Conflict

The Daimyō of the Land of Earth, more pragmatic than most, had thrown his full support behind Iwagakure.

But there was greed behind this cooperation.

Umbrella's financial influence loomed like a mountain over the whole world. The Seven Colors Trading Company alone controlled industrial chains that once backed entire nations. Many powerful figures desired nothing more than to carve up Umbrella's wealth for themselves.

Their preparations for war were driven not only by fear—

—but by the hunger to seize Umbrella's assets once the dust settled.

Akatsuki — A Hidden Opportunity

In the shadows, Black Zetsu silently reported to Pain:

"The Five Great Nations and several smaller villages are mobilizing with full force. They will confront Umbrella without hesitation."

Hearing this, Pain's voice echoed low and cold in the darkness:

"Then we move forward with capturing the Tailed Beasts."

Akatsuki had been waiting for this moment—when the world's eyes were focused entirely on Umbrella.

Umbrella Headquarters — Speech Before the March

Atop the central command tower, Naruto stood tall, overlooking the countless shinobi and martial forces gathered below.

His voice, enhanced by Chakra, boomed across the base:

"If we win this battle—there will be no more wars in the Ninja World."

"Your loved ones will never again live in fear."

"This time—our enemy is the entire world!"

He paused, letting the tension sharpen.

"Do you have confidence!?"

"YES!!!"

"WE WILL WIN!!!"

Their unified roar shook the air like thunder.

Naruto nodded, a rare, fierce pride rising in his chest.

"No speeches. No theatrics."

"On the battlefield—only merit matters."

"When we return victorious, you will receive the greatest rewards—"

"—because you will have earned them with your lives!"

He thrust his arm forward.

"Umbrella—move out!"

The troops surged forth, momentum like a rising tide. In moments, they vanished from the sight of the civilians—families, workers, and researchers still watching the skies in silence.

Each heart held the same prayer:

"You must come back alive…"

"You must win."
