"One bowl of ramen, Teuchi-san!"
After leaving the hillside, Nagi headed straight for Ichiraku Ramen.
Ever since transmigrating into the Naruto world, Ichiraku's ramen had become his comfort food.
"Dad! It's Nagi!"
Hearing Nagi's voice, Ayame ran out excitedly.
"Oh, it's Nagi!"
Teuchi beamed as soon as he saw him.
"Hey, Ayame."
Back before his system awakened, Nagi used to come here all the time.
Thanks to his knowledge of the Naruto storyline, he knew that no matter how chaotic Konoha got, Ichiraku Ramen was always safe.
There were even theories in his previous world joking about "Otsutsuki Teuchi."
Now that he had the system, he could sense things clearly—and Teuchi didn't have a single trace of chakra.
But that didn't stop him from loving the ramen here.
"Geez, Nagi, school must really have you swamped. Haven't seen you in a while."
Teuchi glanced at his daughter—who was clearly starstruck—and let out a helpless sigh.
Still, he trusted Nagi completely.
"Here's your tonkotsu ramen."
A moment later, Teuchi placed a giant, steaming bowl of his signature ramen in front of Nagi.
The other customers couldn't help getting jealous.
"Man, Teuchi always spoils him!"
The regulars chuckled. Clearly, they were used to Nagi getting special treatment.
"Sort of. The placement exam's coming up soon."
Nagi snapped apart his chopsticks and got ready to dig in.
"Ittadakimasu."
Out of habit, he said the phrase before savoring the first bite.
"So, Nagi... are you confident about the exam?"
Ayame looked at him nervously. It was obvious how much she cared.
"I should be fine."
He didn't go into details—just gave a casual answer.
After all, his current strength wasn't anywhere near what a normal genin should have.
If this was before he awakened the system, he might've been fine being lazy and bottom-tier.
But now? With this system, he was starting to think he could become the god of the ninja world.
"Really? Then good luck, Nagi!"
Ayame cheered him on with bright eyes.
And truthfully, Nagi knew what Ayame was thinking—at least a little.
After all, this girl once told him—at the age of seven or eight—that she'd take care of him for life.
If she could say that, there was probably nothing she wouldn't say.
But sadly for her, Nagi saw her as nothing more than a little sister.
To be blunt, she just didn't match his preferences.
Nagi liked older girls.
"Ahem—anyway, I'm done. Thanks for the ramen, Teuchi-san. Ayame. I'm heading out."
He remembered he still had things to do, so he didn't linger.
"Alright! Do your best, Nagi!"
Teuchi knew how important the exam period was—he didn't try to stop him.
Back home, Nagi began studying his golden cheat system.
He found that any jutsu he learned could be instantly maxed out with the system's power.
Techniques he used to struggle with now felt as easy to understand as pouring water.
"Maybe it's time to try something more advanced."
He opened his storage box and pulled out a jutsu scroll.
It was one of the few things his original parents had left behind.
A B-rank jutsu—Shadow Clone Jutsu.
He'd looked at it before, but it was too complicated to figure out at the time.
And he didn't have money for a private tutor, so the scroll had just collected dust.
But now, with the Trait System awakened, any jutsu he learned could be instantly maxed.
So he gave it another shot.
Unfortunately, while the system gave him the One Click Max Level trait, it still required him to learn the jutsu first.
It took a while, but eventually—he did it.
He finally learned the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
"Alright, time to activate the system."
With a mental command, he instantly maxed it out.
The moment he did, what had once felt like beginner-level suddenly clicked into complete mastery.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Poof! Poof! Poof!
In a flash, over a dozen clones of Nagi filled the room.
"Seems like making a dozen clones doesn't affect me at all."
Even after summoning that many, his original body felt completely fine.
"And each clone… feels like it's close to jōnin level!"
Nagi could sense it. Each shadow clone held chakra roughly equal to two bars.
His chakra was so immense, even a tailed beast would feel insecure comparing themselves to him.
Time passed without him realizing. Suddenly—it was midnight. That meant he could sign in again.
"System, perform another sign-in."
"Ding! Congratulations, Host! You've received the trait: God-Tier Comprehension. Any jutsu—see it once, and you'll understand it."
Nagi was thrilled.
God-Tier Comprehension paired with One Click Max Level was basically a perfect combo.
Any jutsu he saw—even once—he could instantly learn.
And then immediately max it out!
"Perfect timing. Tomorrow's class is practical training."
He remembered the next day's lesson would involve mock combat—important for placement decisions.
Technically, Nagi could still choose to hide his strength.
But knowing how Konoha operated… regular civilian-born shinobi were often sent to the frontlines as cannon fodder.
The chances of that happening were high.
What he needed now was more jutsu—especially the ones in the Scroll of Seals.
Flying Thunder God and the Eight Gates—those kinds of techniques would be a huge help.
And for that reason alone, he had to show his skills in the practical exam!
