Chapter 15 - My Lord... Have Mercy on Me

With the dawn of the next day, a wave of sensational news swept through the barony, striking the markets and streets like wildfire. People discussed it eagerly, mixed with suspicion and fear, and debates never ceased over the truth behind the destruction of the "Blood Fang" gang and the capture of its leader.

A burly man waved his arm mockingly at his friend: "— No, no... this is just a baseless rumor. How could a child who hasn't even reached twelve eliminate an entire gang? Is it believable that he captured their leader too?" The other replied seriously: "— But... Ghalib wasn't an ordinary criminal; he was one of the worst corruptors in the barony. Everyone knows he contributed to its decline and the humiliation of its people." The first laughed loudly: "— Impossible! Even if it were true... then tomorrow the sun will rise from the west!"

In another corner, an elderly woman held her grandson tightly and said: "— I hope the news is true... then we might live in safety as we used to." As whispers grew, people began flocking toward the barony's central square to see Ghalib face his fate.

Jamie appeared, walking with steady steps. His features were outwardly innocent, yet carried a harsh coldness. Whispers echoed among the skeptical crowd: "— Is this the child who wiped out Blood Fang?", "— Impossible! If this is true... even I could do it!" Jamie stood on the platform, his voice rising powerfully: "I, Jamie Silver... despite my young age, have wiped out the Blood Fang Gang and captured their leader, Ghalib. This afternoon, in just four hours, I will sever his head before you all... so that this barony may witness the beginning of a grand revival, starting with the fall of this garbage's head."

A heavy silence fell, and Jamie returned to his castle, where two new servants greeted him with a bow. However, he bypassed them quickly toward the basement. He opened the iron doors to find himself in the castle dungeon, where the scent of blood hung thick. There, Ghalib lay sprawled in his cell; both his legs were amputated, his eyes gouged out, and his body drenched in blood.

Jamie asked coldly: "— Did he talk?" The guard answered: "— He confessed to his well-known crimes... but he didn't mention who supported him." Ghalib cried out in despair: "— Hahaha... My Lord, please... kill me! I can't live like this!" Jamie slowly placed a piece of cloth in his mouth and turned to Emilia: "— What's wrong with him?" She replied coldly: "— I was very gentle with him, Master. I started with his left leg, then the right, then I gouged out his eyes. When he remained silent, I tore his skin, and finally... I castrated him. Nine full hours, I tried all my methods... but he is stubborn."

Jamie laughed cruelly: "— Hahaha... your skill is good... but let me teach you how to truly practice the trade." Jamie activated the "Eye of Wisdom," displaying Ghalib's data: Age 35, Title "Bearer of Fresh Blood Tattoos," and Status "Definite Death at 88%." The eye also revealed he was enchanted by three spells: a Third Circle spell (Death of the Confessor), a First Circle spell (Concealment of Truths), and a Third Circle spell (Total Death Upon Confession).

Jamie said: "— He is enchanted... that's why he cannot speak the truth." He muttered to himself that breaking a Third Circle spell posed a challenge, but he began by undoing the Concealment of Truths spell. Ghalib began to scream as heat surged through his body, and Jamie spent an hour dismantling the complex magical structure of the Total Death spell, successfully converting the instant kill into an eighteen-hour countdown.

Jamie leaned toward Ghalib and whispered sharply: "— Do you know, Ghalib... I don't like quick kills. I prefer to hear details drop from the victim's mouth... drop by drop." He then grabbed the wound of his amputated leg and squeezed it hard, causing Ghalib's scream to echo through the dungeon. Jamie dug his fingers into Ghalib's shoulder, tore off a piece of his skin, then inserted his finger between his teeth and violently pulled out one of his molars.

Jamie said with a calm smile: "— What do you think now, Ghalib... will you tell me? Which noble was supporting you?" Ghalib answered from the depths of his intense agony: "My Lord... kill me."
