Chapter 121 - TST [121]

"Morgan's Dueling again?"

Jade muttered sleepily—she'd been ready to curl up beside Morgan.

"Heh, that's just Morgan. She never refuses a Duel challenge."

Isla chuckled, then turned to the Duel. She didn't recognize the opponent, but since she came from the Silver Dorm, she had to be a senior. A live-stream Duel, though… certainly, she just wanted to borrow Morgan's fame to boost her own. Isla didn't mind, as long as profit-sharing went smoothly.

Even before the Duel began, Anneli's stream was gaining traction. But once it started, viewership skyrocketed, fueled by her room's title.

"The streamer's bold… actually wrote she's Dueling Morgan."

"Yeah, Morgan's been gone a whole year. If this is clickbait, she'll get roasted."

"Looks like the Duel's starting. Which one's the streamer?"

"Wait… that really looks like Morgan!"

Focused, Anneli didn't notice. She drew her opening card and smiled—she had her starter. Perfect chance to showcase her Deck.

"I activate Secret Password!"

"Add 1 'Live☆Twin' or 'Evil★Twin' Spell/Trap from my Deck to my hand."

"I add Live☆Twin Sunny's Snitch from my Deck!"

A Live☆Twin Deck—just as Morgan suspected. From Anneli's outfit, she'd already guessed it. Few would cosplay their own Deck's monsters.

And Live☆Twins were strong—capable of full combos off a single card.

As a Link-based Deck, all you needed was one Twin or a way to search for them. One pulled out the other, leading straight to Link Monsters. The Twins looked separate, but functioned as one.

"Next, I activate the Spell, Live☆Twin Sunny's Snitch!"

"When activated: Add 1 'Live☆Twin' monster from your Deck to your hand."

"I add Live☆Twin Lil-la!"

Jade frowned at the odd-looking Deck. She'd never imagined a style so different. Though thanks to Morgan's training, she understood the purpose of Anneli's moves: every chain led to summoning stronger monsters.

And adding Lil-la could only mean one thing—she was preparing for her core play.

Jade couldn't help but feel proud. She wasn't just a clueless cheerleader anymore.

"I Normal Summon Live☆Twin Lil-la in Attack Position!"

A cartoonish blue-haired girl appeared, clutching a handheld console, like a virtual avatar.

[Live☆Twin Lil-la] Level 2│DARK│Fiend│500 ATK / 0 DEF

"I activate Lil-la's effect!"

"If you control no other monsters and this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Special Summon 1 'Ki-sikil' monster from your hand or Deck."

Ki-sikil—the Red Twin. Each Twin summoned the other, forming their signature combo. As long as you had one, the combo began. That was the Deck's specialty.

"I Special Summon Live☆Twin Ki-sikil in Defense Position!"

Another avatar appeared—this one red-haired, lively, dressed to hype the crowd, in contrast to the reserved blue Twin.

[Live☆Twin Ki-sikil] Level 2│LIGHT│Fiend│500 ATK / 0 DEF

"Now I use Lil-la and Ki-sikil to set the Link Arrows!"

"Link Summon! Evil★Twin Ki-sikil!"

The Twins transformed into red light, slotting into the circuit. A realistic version of Ki-sikil appeared.

[Evil★Twin Ki-sikil] Link-2│LIGHT│Fiend│1100 ATK

Isla's eyes flickered with surprise. She rarely paid attention to such quirky Decks. To her, they were sideshow acts, no match for meta Decks. Morgan was the exception, turning even background Decks into nightmares.

But Anneli's Deck felt different—fun, yet formidable. This Link Monster looked like the evolved form of the red Twin. Did it also summon back the blue one?

She guessed right. The Evil★Twins revived each other, cycling to extend combos.

"I activate Evil★Twin Ki-sikil's effect!"

"If you control no 'Lil-la' monsters: During either player's Main Phase, Special Summon 1 'Lil-la' monster from your Graveyard."

"I revive Live☆Twin Lil-la from my Graveyard!"

The blue avatar returned. Morgan watched closely, intrigued. In her past life, Live☆Twins had been meta—especially paired with hand traps. But in this world, she didn't yet know how strong they stood.

Meanwhile, the stream chat exploded.

"Holy crap—it's really Morgan! Thought it was clickbait!"

"Bro's so hyped he's mixing his words. How'd you know it's her?"

"Duh—I was at the Junior Division Duelist League finals a year ago. Saw the Witch Morgan with my own eyes. I'd never mistake her!"

"With eyewitnesses like that, it's confirmed! Streamer's a legend for pulling this off!"

More viewers poured in. If Anneli saw her numbers now, she'd cry—an unknown streamer outpacing the biggest names. All thanks to Morgan's presence.

But Anneli remained focused. This was her chance.

"I use Evil★Twin Ki-sikil and Live☆Twin Lil-la to set the Link Arrows!"

"Link Summon! Evil★Twin Lil-la!"
