Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: The Advancement of Shrek Academy's Teachers

Gai Yue returned to Shrek Academy half a month ago. Contrary to expectations, he did not appear sad or lonely due to Oscar's situation. Instead, he was full of vitality and spirit.

When Gai Yue informed Flender and the others that Oscar was still alive, they reacted as if they had received the greatest news imaginable.

Ma Hongjun, in particular, seemed to have lost considerable weight recently. Upon hearing that Oscar was safe, his entire demeanor changed he instantly became energized, as if life had suddenly regained purpose.

Unable to restrain himself, Ma Hongjun grabbed Gai Yue's arm and asked,

"Teacher Gai Yue, when is Brother Ao coming back? It's been more than two months, and he still hasn't returned to the academy. What's he doing out there?"

Gai Yue smiled slightly. He was somewhat envious of the deep bond between Ma Hongjun and Oscar. Although Ma Hongjun could be lazy at times, he was undeniably talented already a level 25 Spirit Master at such a young age.

Gai Yue had always been fond of Ma Hongjun. Seeing the boy's slightly pleading expression, he replied with a smile,

"He's cultivating with Senior Poison Douluo. The training may last up to a year, or as little as half a year."

"Ah!" Ma Hongjun's face fell instantly. "So I won't be able to see Brother Ao this whole time?"

Gai Yue continued,

"Don't worryXiao Ao hasn't forgotten about you. He asked me to pass along a message: if you slack off while he's gone, he'll personally test you when he returns."

"If you don't meet his expectations, you'd better be ready for the consequences."

Ma Hongjun shuddered at the thought. Brother Ao was good in every way but when it came to disciplining others, he was brutally straightforward. No holding back, no acting.

Ma Hongjun wasn't particularly afraid of the teachers at Shrek Academy. They were strict, but manageable. But Oscar despite only being two years older gave off the aura of an elder brother, even a father.

Of course, Ma Hongjun had never known his father and didn't know what that kind of relationship felt like. But Oscar came close to embodying it.

When things were good, they were very good. But when Oscar got angry, Ma Hongjun wouldn't even dare to breathe too heavily. Now, hearing Gai Yue's warning, he could clearly imagine what Oscar's "discipline" would feel like if he slacked off.

Ma Hongjun quickly forced a smile and said,

"Teacher Gai Yue, come on you know me. I'd never slack off. Tell Brother Ao not to worry. When he returns, I'll definitely give him a surprise!"

Gai Yue's smile deepened.

"Not bad. That's the right attitude. Your Brother Ao left something special for you. It's said to solve your Evil Fire problem and it might even improve your cultivation."

Ma Hongjun's heart skipped a beat.

"He really found a solution?"

Gai Yue nodded.

"I've already brought it back."

He then handed Ma Hongjun the Phoenix Nirvana Pill and explained its usage and the followup cultivation method.

Overjoyed, Ma Hongjun returned to his dormitory immediately to consume the pill.

After that, Gai Yue distributed the various pills he had brought back to the teachers of Shrek Academy, according to Oscar's arrangements. The distribution was done in private. After all, Dai Mubai was also a student at the academy but having just recently enrolled, Oscar hadn't prepared anything for him.

Thus, Gai Yue had to distribute the pills discreetly, to avoid stirring unnecessary feelings. As for Ma Hongjun's case, there was no need to worry about jealousy; his Evil Fire problem was common knowledge.

Even Dai Mubai, after nearly two months at the academy, knew about Ma Hongjun's affliction. So even if Ma Hongjun's strength improved from taking the Phoenix Nirvana Pill, it would be seen as a fortunate opportunity after overcoming a chronic issue.

As for the teachers, they naturally had no intention of boasting about their gains to Dai Mubai it simply wasn't necessary.

Moreover, Oscar had specifically instructed Gai Yue to keep everything confidential, stating that all of it came from Dugu Bo and should not be publicly revealed.

After consuming the elixirs prepared by Oscar, every teacher at Shrek Academy experienced substantial progress.Gai Yue reached Soul Power: Level 85 (peak) → Level 87. Now a step closer to the Titled Douluo realm.

Due to the infusion of Black Jade Divine Bamboo, his Frost Moon Sword advanced significantly in both quality and potential

It is now among the top tier weapon spirits, rivaling the legendary Seven Kill Sword, widely recognized as the strongest sword spirit on the continent

Gai Yue himself was ecstatic; he had a strong premonition that surpassing even Sword Douluo Chen Xin was no longer a fantasy

He was deeply awed by the power of immortal grade herbs, and his gratitude toward Oscar only deepened Oscar had given him something more valuable than a soul bone without hesitation

It was no wonder he had been devastated upon hearing of Oscar's supposed death; their relationship had already evolved into something akin to father and son. Flender consumed Ninth Grade Primordial Elixir which made reach Soul Power: Level 78 → Level 79 (peak)

With focused cultivation, he was only a step away from reaching Level 80 and acquiring a ten thousand year spirit ring, which would elevate him to Soul Douluo status

In this era, becoming a Soul Douluo was a major milestone only around 300 existed across the entire continent among hundreds of thousands of Soul Masters

Zhao Wuji also took the same pill as Flender and reached Soul Power: Level 76 → Level 77 (peak). Now just one level away from 78, with strength increasing rapid

Shao Xin also took the Ninth Grade Primordial Elixir and recently acquired his 7th spirit ring and reached Soul Power: Level 71 → Level 73

Beyond boosting soul power, the elixir awakened his latent potential, paving a smoother path for future cultivation

He might even become, apart from Oscar, a rare Food Type Titled Douluo

Lu Qibin & Li Yusong

Due to their slightly weaker talent, Oscar did not give them the immortal grade pillit would have been wasteful

Instead, they received elixirs made from ten thousand year old spirit herbs

While not as powerful, these still enabled them to achieve breakthroughs: Lu Qibin: Level 65 → Level 66 and Li Yusong: Level 63 → Level 64 respectively.
