Chapter 23 - 23 Sexy Spirit Girl

Sexy Spirit Girl

Amber gemstone-like Mystic Eyes pierced through time and space.

In the divine realm far removed from the mundane world, high above the boundless sea of clouds, stood crimson city walls and jade towers of splendor.

This was the world of gods and buddhas, the dwelling place of Maitreya. Through the Mystic Eyes, a beautiful young girl could be seen — the beloved daughter of the Fourth Demon King, a well-known princess of the sensual realm, specifically the Tusita Heaven (the Fourth Heaven).

Since childhood, she had been adored by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and was granted countless treasures and divine swords.

When she came of age, she was given a divine mission under the gods' orders: to transform Japan into a demon realm.

She was dispatched to descend to the mortal world.

The girl descended upon a mountain range in Japan during the Heian period (Late Tang Dynasty), a mountain named Suzuka. She claimed it as her territory, and from then on, she became known as "Suzuka Gozen."

As the daughter of the Demon King of the Buddhist realm, she was at times compassionate, at times cold and ruthless. She would drive out evildoers who entered the forest to hunt recklessly and slay the bandits who rampaged across the land.

Those who saw her radiant and powerful figure praised her as a celestial being, her beauty beyond the mortal realm, and called her a tennyo (heavenly maiden).

The evildoers and bandits she repelled, however, labeled her a demon.

If fate had not interfered, she would have remained there for several years, waiting for the right moment to transform the island nation into a demon realm, then return to the heavens to report her success.

But fate played a cruel trick on her — she met the one person she should never have encountered.

At the end of the Three Kingdoms period, a branch of the Han Emperor's descendants fled overseas and sailed east to Japan.

Their descendants flourished on the island, and one among them became a remarkable figure. He expanded the territories of the Yamato people and conquered the Emishi (in Hokkaido), becoming the first Shōgun in Japanese history to hold true power and military merit — known in later generations as Sakanoue no Tamuramaro.

Even when he held supreme military power and could have taken the throne for himself, he chose to lay down his arms and return to a humble life.

During times of national crisis, the Japanese emperor summoned him again, and he turned the tide and quelled uprisings. His life was rich in legend, and future generations revered him as the God of War.

The girl went on adventures and traveled with the young Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. Together, they punished bandits, exorcised evil spirits, and slew demons — and she fell in love with him. Thus, a tragic destiny was sealed…

Shirou witnessed the events of her life unfold. He saw the tragic end of this girl in love — holding the paired divine swords she shared with her beloved, she faced her fated battle against the "God of War," Sakanoue no Tamuramaro, and ultimately fell in a pool of her own blood.

Thus, the demon who sought to bring disaster and turn the island nation into a demon realm was slain under the God of War's blade.

Was this the consequence of the girl's evil, or the fault of a cold-hearted, unfeeling lover?

The truth has long faded into history. Only the girl's sorrowful love song still lingers in the world.

Originally, as the daughter of a divine being, the celestial princess should not have become a Heroic Spirit.

But because of an unfulfilled regret in her heart and her lingering attachment to the mortal world, she manifested in the modern world by possessing a present-day girl as Suzuka Gozen.

Her amber gemstone-like Mystic Eyes began to heat up, and the data being interpreted felt like it was burning. The knowledge and concepts held by gods, buddhas, and demons — beings beyond the human realm — are incomprehensible to ordinary minds. Even someone with talent may be able to use them, but not understand or analyze them.

For example, the Goldbach Conjecture, simplified as 1+1=2, proposes that every even number greater than 2 can be expressed as the sum of two prime numbers.

For thousands of years, people have accepted mathematical theorems as a matter of course, yet they can't truly explain them. Some still remain unproven, and even if proven, some argue it may not even matter.

The domain of the gods is a forbidden zone for humans. Yet the boy's Mystic Eyes forcibly transformed what he observed into knowledge barely comprehensible to humans, directly inputting it into his brain, electrifying his nerves with pain like a shock.

The boy's body, reinforced by the Heroic Spirit's possession, connected to the source of magical energy. The FGO system lit up the Holy Grail to supply the massive magical energy required.

Analysis complete! The boy's mind absorbed all information about the process of forging these two divine swords crafted by Bodhisattvas — understanding the forge's intent, reproducing the materials and techniques, and imagining the swords' maximum potential power.

Finally, through magecraft, he used the Imaginary World of Projection to construct the closest possible Noble Phantasms to the originals.

A golden flash appeared in his left hand, a silver flash in his right. The sword hilts formed, extending outward to the blades and tips, followed by the scabbards forming around them. Long sword tassels fluttered in the magic-generated wind.

A pair of swords — one gold, one silver — appeared completely in the boy's hands. Shirou raised his arms and respectfully presented the swords to the fox-eared girl.

The moment the fox-eared girl saw the swords, her expression changed. Her turquoise-gold eyes turned solemn and dignified.

Without a word, the girl reached out and took the swords from him, nodding to Shirou.

Her previous demeanor completely changed — now cold and awe-inspiring, like a Valkyrie wielding the power of life and death.

"Since we're here, let's raise some hell."

She drew the first sword. As the blade was unsheathed, dazzling golden light flashed.

"This sword is Daitōren, forged by one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas. Its slash is like the wrath of Vajra!"

The golden sword floated from her hand, split into two, then into four, then multiplied endlessly, forming a ring above her head, spinning.

The abandoned shopping mall was bathed in the revealed golden light. Hundreds of divine weapons flew into the air, forming a rotating circular sword formation.

The girl then drew the second, silver sword.

"This is the Chi-sword Shōtōren, also forged by a Bodhisattva. When unsheathed, it grants the wisdom of the Bodhisattva."

— Blessing of Wisdom!

For a brief moment, the girl was empowered with the wisdom of a Bodhisattva. Under this immense intelligence, she could perfectly control hundreds of swords with precise coordination.

Her thoughts became crystal-clear, her mind agile, and her command over the Noble Phantasms elevated. Even magical beasts that moved so quickly they left only afterimages now appeared in slow motion within her golden eyes.

She raised the final sword — Kenmyōren — and slashed downward.

"Fall — Tenkiame (Heavenly Demon Rain)!"

The golden sword circle in the sky spun rapidly, flashing light and wind. Instantly, the interior of the abandoned building was filled with golden streams of light from the blade edges.

The monster running on the ground had no room to escape. The first sword pierced it, freezing it in place. The second sword pinned its rear legs to the ground.

Then the third, fourth… more and more swords followed.

The monster was pierced by hundreds of blades, turned into a porcupine, and finally let out a death cry before turning into black mist and vanishing.

"We did it! Shirou-senpai! No more reactions detected," said Mash happily.

"Huh?" Shirou suddenly felt a burning in his eyes, and his vision blurred. He instinctively covered his eyes.

"Shirou-senpai! What's wrong with your eyes? Let me see!" Mash cried out as she ran over.

The girl was shocked — the boy's eyes were now crimson red, filled with bloodshot veins.

"It's okay, senpai, I'll heal you right now," Mash said nervously.

"It's nothing. I just need to rest a bit. Probably because the Noble Phantasms I projected were too high-tier," Shirou said, sitting on the floor and closing his eyes to rest.

He had experienced similar side effects in his past life — overusing magical reinforcement on the eyes could cause this.

To suddenly project two Bodhisattva-forged Noble Phantasms — even though their system differs from gods, they are still extremely high-level items.

In his past life, it would've been impossible for him.

But now, relying on his Mystic Eyes capable of analyzing everything, he had surpassed the limits of mortals and made the impossible manifest into reality.

"Thanks, Mash. Really, I'm fine — I already feel much better," Shirou said with a soft smile, eyes closed. As long as the troublesome beast was dealt with, a little eye burn was nothing.
