Chapter 9: I'm such a good kid, there's no way I could be the boss.

But if the plot continues as it is, Bibi Dong's ending will be too tragic. As my mother's best friend, it's imperative to reconcile the conflict between her and my third brother!

And, at the moment, it seems that there's no deep hatred between my mother and my third brother.

With Qianqian around, Bibi Dong probably wouldn't suppress Tang San even if she knew about his talent.

As for that old guy Yu Xiaogang, Qianqian just doesn't like him! What a scumbag!

Qianqian walked grunting as she carried the amethyst coffin on her back, not saying much, giving my third brother some time to calm down.

There's only one dormitory building, and it's easy to find. All the students and teachers of the academy live here. As Old Jack said, there are very few people who can become spirit masters, especially in a remote city like Notting. The academy doesn't have many students and teachers, so one dormitory building is more than enough to cover the cost.

There were only seven student dormitories. Because the students at the Junior Spirit Master Academy were relatively young, each grade was housed in a single, large dormitory for better management. Each grade at the Notting Junior Spirit Master Academy only had about forty students.

The lower three floors of the dormitory building housed seven large dormitories, each with a teacher in charge.

Dormitory Seven was a special one among the seven, with the worst conditions. It was reserved for part-time students. After all, the academy wasn't a charity, and while part-time students' tuition was waived, their treatment wasn't as good as that of regular students.

Dormitory Seven was also the only mixed-age dormitory, housing all part-time students, regardless of grade.

As the two reached Dormitory Seven's door, they heard a commotion. The door was open, and they stood outside, peering in.

The room was spacious, nearly three hundred square meters, filled with fifty beds, but only beds; only eleven of them had bedding. Seven or eight children, aged between eight and twelve, were making a commotion inside.

Tang San, not one to be flamboyant, dragged Qianqian along, preparing to find a corner bed to tidy up.

He preferred quiet, but someone had suddenly arrived. A child, seemingly in his teens, pointed at Tang San and Qianqian and said, "Boss, there's someone new!"

"Huh?" The noise in the dormitory ceased, and an older boy approached them.

This boy was two or three heads taller than Tang San and Qianqian. Qianqian, who was already short, looked even more frail in comparison.

The boy spoke condescendingly, "You're all new part-time students? Huh? What's with carrying a coffin? Did someone die in your family? How many good meals could we brothers have if we sold such a luxurious coffin?"

Qianqian's eyes nearly blazed, and she instinctively glanced at Tang San.

Tang San had originally thought he didn't want to argue with a child, but there was one around him. If this person had mocked him, Tang San would have turned a deaf ear, pretending he didn't hear. But he chose to mock the child who respectfully called him "Third Brother." And his words were so harsh.

Facing Qian Qian's angry yet pleading eyes, Tang San glared at the man coldly: "Apologize!"

"Huh, apologize? Why? He's carrying a coffin, doesn't that mean someone in his family has died?" The man said arrogantly: "My name is Wang Sheng, my spirit is the Battle Tiger, and I'm a future Spirit Master. I'm also the leader here. Boy, what's your name? What's your spirit?"

"Tang San! My spirit is Blue Silver Grass! Please teach me!" Tang San immediately assumed a fighting stance. Talking to such a bratty kid would only scare him!

"Blue Silver Grass? Since when can Blue Silver Grass spirits be cultivated?" Wang Sheng put on an expression of extreme shock, and most of the children in the dormitory burst into laughter, looking at Tang San as if he were an idiot.

"Hmph! There are no useless spirits, only useless spirit masters!"

BANG!!!

Qian Qian placed the coffin in front of her with a muffled thud. "Qian Qian, spirit, Purple Thunder Blue Silver Grass!"

Tang San was surprised; he hadn't expected Qian Qian to utter such a philosophical statement.

Wang Sheng snorted coldly, "A useless spirit is a useless spirit! It sounds nice, Purple Thunder Blue Silver Grass. It's just useless Blue Silver Grass with a different color!"

Qian Qian, unconvinced, rolled up her sleeves and prepared to fight. Tang San struck first, shoving his clothes into Qian Qian's arms. "I'll go!"

The other students clearly saw Tang San take a swift step, arriving behind Wang Sheng. Without even turning back, he bent his right arm and struck Wang Sheng in the waist with an elbow, his right foot landing just in front of Wang Sheng's.

Before Wang Sheng could even react, he was already falling, stumbling out of the dormitory door. Fortunately, his strong lower body kept him from falling, otherwise he would have ended up in a dog's mouth.

"You bastard, you dare hit me?" Wang Sheng roared in anger. He spun around and lunged at Tang San like a tiger descending from a mountain.

Tang San simply hoped to avoid too much trouble in his future academy life, or at least to avoid disruptions to his normal life. Therefore, he felt certain he should teach this 'boss' a lesson. It was the so-called killing the chicken to scare the monkey.

Seeing Wang Sheng lunge, aiming for a punch to his chest, Tang San didn't retreat, but instead advanced, stepping forward to meet Wang Sheng. He landed squarely in front of Wang Sheng, simultaneously guiding with his left hand and pulling with his right. A simple yet effective move.

Wang Sheng felt as if his right fist, yanked by a strange force, changed direction. At the same time, a powerful force surged from Tang San's right hand, tripping him and sending him flying again. This time, his balance was much more challenging.

Tang San's simple movements harnessed the unique Tang Sect technique of controlling the crane and capturing the dragon. Harnessing Wang Sheng's own strength, combined with his own, Wang Sheng fell to the bed with a thud.

A deep roar, clearly not meant for a child, erupted from Wang Sheng's throat. A faint yellow glow could be seen emanating from him. His body, now tumbling down from the bed, instantly sprang up, its speed and strength clearly surpassing anything seen before.

Martial Spirit. He had harnessed the power of his Martial Spirit. This thought flashed through Tang San's mind in a flash.

But what about the Martial Spirit?

"I'll do it!" Qian Qian was furious. Every time she tried to take action, she was stopped. She wanted to move too.

He stuffed his clothes into his storage soul guide and dove in to meet Wang Sheng.

Tang San sighed, "Oh no!" He could see that Wang Sheng's strength had increased significantly after using his spirit, but he was too late to rescue him. He could only watch helplessly as Qian Qian and Wang Sheng exchanged blows!

Seeing this little girl as his opponent, Wang Sheng instinctively held back a bit.

But Qian Qian didn't care and just went for it!

"Bang!" With a punch!

As everyone watched in amazement, Qian Qian's pale little fist sent Wang Sheng, possessed by his spirit, flying away!

With a thud, Wang Sheng slumped miserably against the wall.

Qian Qian put her hands on her hips, "Are you convinced?"

This time, Wang Sheng had fallen hard. He struggled for a long time before getting up. His eyes changed as he looked at Qian Qian, and he trembled, "I'm convinced..."

Tang San was also very surprised, but then he thought, considering Qian Qian was carrying the heavy coffin, her strength seemed natural.

"What about you guys?" Qianqian's eyes swept around the dormitory.

Now everyone was about to admit defeat, otherwise they were really afraid that this cute little guy would punch them.

"Huh." Qianqian exhaled, took out the school uniform and handed it to Tang San, "Brother San, this is yours."

"Yeah." Since Qianqian's anger had subsided, there was nothing to worry about. Tang San didn't have much of a grudge against them. Tang San himself didn't know why he cared so much about this little boy he met on the way.

"Hey, don't we have bedding in our dormitory?" Tang San asked in confusion.

A student who was not much older than Tang San's eyes dimmed, "We are just part-time students. Our tuition is waived. Where can we get bedding? We brought all these from home. Otherwise, you can use mine first."

Tang San waved his hand and said, "No, thank you. I can find a way myself."

Wang Sheng slowly moved in front of Qianqian.

Qianqian dodged behind the coffin. "What? Do you still want to bully me?"

As soon as Qianqian said this, Tang San turned his gaze to Wang Sheng, his calves tensed, ready to start a fight if they disagreed.

Wang Sheng was almost pissed. "I don't dare."

"Then what are you going to do?"

"Well... I was the boss of our dormitory seven, and now that you've beaten me, you're the boss of dormitory seven," Wang Sheng said tremblingly.

Qianqian shook her head. "No, let Third Brother be the boss."

"That's the rule. Whoever has the bigger fist is the boss."

"I don't want to." Qianqian shook her head like a rattle. "I'm here to learn, not to be the boss."

Wang Sheng's mouth twitched. He couldn't believe that the humanoid spirit beast had been so harmless...

Wang Sheng turned his gaze back to Tang San. The humanoid spirit beast called Tang San "Third Brother", so he must be powerful.

Tang San quickly waved his hands, "Don't look at me. I'm here to learn, too!"

"You think being the boss is such a good job!" He said, pulling back the sleeves of his school uniform.

Tang San was shocked to see seven or eight purple-blue scars on his arms.

Wang Sheng smiled bitterly, "These were caused yesterday when I first arrived at the academy. We work-study students all come from poor families, and the students from other dorms often bully us in Dormitory 7. As the dorm leader, I have to stand up for my brothers. I'm eager to pass this responsibility on to you."

A sense of justice is a fundamental element of a knight-errant. Protecting the weak is naturally part of it. Tang San had received countless lessons in this area during his time in the Tang Sect. Hearing this, he no longer refused, "Alright then. I won't stand by and watch my roommates get bullied."

At that moment, a crisp voice rang out from outside, "Is this Dormitory 7?"
