After their two fights were done, Adrian, Elen, Kael, and Emmet made their way out of the arena as the tournament day concluded. The crowds were dispersing, spectators discussing the day's impressive matches while competitors headed toward their respective accommodations.
"Good work today, everyone," I said as we reached the main exit area. "Get proper rest. Tomorrow's quarterfinals will be significantly harder."
Elen nodded tiredly. "I'll be watching from the stands. Cheer you all on properly."
"Appreciated," Emmet said simply before departing toward his dormitory with minimal conversation.
Elen headed toward the academy's residential district where most students lived, while Kael and I took a different route entirely.
