Chapter 116: The Eunuch Manufacturer

In truth, Li Mi (Liu Wei) and Wu Yifan had met only a handful of times—fewer than five, by her count. He was just an ordinary security guard, nothing like the wealthy elites she'd grown up around. Yet from the first meeting, something about him had stirred her—a fluttery, first-love feeling, hazy and sweet, part reality, part fantasy, mysterious yet undeniable.

She couldn't pinpoint why she was so drawn to him. At first, maybe it was his reputation as the "Running King"? But after seeing him pull off one shocking feat after another, hidden beneath that security guard uniform, her curiosity had bloomed into something deeper. For days, her heart had raced, urging her to dig into his true identity. But the more she looked, the more she realized how little she knew about him.

Who *was* he?

Was he really hiding out at that tiny KTV, Infinite, just to pursue Ye Xiwen?

Ye Xiwen was stunning, yes—but was she worth all this?

In that moment, Li Mi's feelings mirrored Fu Junyao's. Faced with Ye Xiwen, a twinge of jealous酸味 (suānwèi, sourness) pricked her. She knew she matched Ye Xiwen in looks, figure, even surpassed her in family background. Yet Wu Yifan's focus never strayed from Ye Xiwen, leaving Li Mi with a lingering sense of being overlooked—frustration, helplessness, and a hunger to understand him better.

If she'd never met Ye Xiwen, maybe none of this would matter. But she had, and Fu Junyao was even Ye Xiwen's friend. Watching such an extraordinary man chase her best friend, pulling off feats that shook the city—how could they not be moved? Jealous? Curious?

Li Mi's feelings for Wu Yifan had shifted like this. Once, they were barely friends. Now, after everything—especially that day on his bed, the racing hearts, the blushes—he was unforgettable.

Her earlier words had taken courage. Now, her heart thundered like a小鹿撞胸 (xiǎolù zhuàng xiōng, a little deer crashing into her chest), her cheeks burning. She stared at her shoes, too shy to meet his gaze.

Normally bold, fearless, she'd bared a vulnerable side today—admitting a truth she'd never spoken aloud. It felt like a first, revealing the shy girl beneath the fire.

Noticing Wu Yifan's stunned silence, she smiled to herself. He *was* intimidated. But would she really… cut it off? She wasn't that cruel. Besides, that would leave her a widow for life. She was young, beautiful—such thoughts were too vulgar. Her face flushed hotter, and she wished the floor would swallow her.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Did I scare you silly?" She giggled, covering her mouth. "Big tough guy, and you fold that easy? I was joking. I don't want you as a son-in-law… yet." She stepped closer, taking his hand, her curvy body half-melting into his embrace. She guided his hand to her waist, shyness fading. Words spoken were like spilled water—no taking them back. She might as well be bold.

Cold sweat dotted Wu Yifan's forehead, his mouth twitching.

*Scared silly? That's an understatement.*

This was the anti-corruption chief's daughter? Arrogant, domineering, talking about cutting off… parts. She sounded more like a mob boss's kid. A total pervert.

"Speak!" Liu Wei pouted, pinching his waist.

"Ah!" Wu Yifan yelped.

"See? Keep quiet, and it'll get worse." She smirked, triumphant.

"Worse? Let me show *you* worse." Wu Yifan tightened his arms, pressing her close. Her nipples brushed his chest, gentle friction stoking a fire. After her kiss, he couldn't back down. He captured her petal-soft lips, his tongue diving in, tangling with hers in a heated kiss. His hands slid down, settling on her perky ass.

Liu Wei gasped, drowning in the sensation—intoxicating, bone-melting. Her body went limp, relying on him to hold her. Her mind blanked, forgetting where they were. His hands massaged her ass, a faint grind sending heat flooding through her, a flame licking her core.

When he finally pulled back, her eyes were shut, long lashes fluttering, breath ragged, cheeks flushed. He smiled, whispering in her ear, "Good?"

Her heart still soared, slow to land. His words jolted her, and she buried her face in his chest, her gaze hazy, her body trembling.

Wu Yifan chuckled, patting her ass, massaging gently. Liu Wei moaned, her eyes darkening with desire.

The soft, round warmth in his hands stoked his lust—he wanted to tame this wild girl. But the security booth wasn't the place. Ye Xiwen might walk in anytime, and she'd *kill* him.

He sighed, letting go.

*I'm such a scoundrel.* He'd kissed Fu Junyao passionately at noon, nearly gone further. Then he'd kissed Ye Xiwen tenderly. Now he was fooling around with Liu Wei. But could any man resist three stunning women? He wasn't some saint—or a cross-dresser.

*A spring moment is worth a thousand gold.* Why let beauty waste?

Was he really that shameless? He'd even found excuses. But excuses were better than none—they soothed his guilty conscience.

"Feeling brave now? Tell me. How do you plan to take down Qian Baocun? I saw those online rumors—no real evidence. Was that you and that chubby guy?" Liu Wei calmed down, though her cheeks still pinked.

"Sigh. Qian Baocun isn't easy." Wu Yifan's tone turned grave.

"His backers are that strong?" She looked shocked.

He recounted what he and Fu Junyao had overheard at Eastern Coast. "We know Zhou Penglin is his man, but he's built a network in Beitian. Move against him, and half the city's elites might panic. We either strike hard, taking him and his corrupt officials down together… or not at all."

"He's so arrogant. He *deserves* to fall." Liu Wei seethed.

Wu Yifan smiled bitterly. "Easy to say. His roots run deep. That's why I had Song Mingjie spread those rumors—rattle him, make him jumpy. Then we pick off his allies one by one, leaving him孤立无援 (gūlì wú yuán, isolated)."

"Good plan. But how long? How many girls will suffer while we wait?" Liu Wei's voice tightened with worry.

"It's unavoidable. Unless…" He trailed off.

"Unless what?" She shook his arm, urgent.

"Unless you ask your dad. Sound him out. If he'll help, we
