Fenix awakened in sheets that felt like liquid silk, his body refreshed in ways that had nothing to do with mere physical rest. A soft knock at his door interrupted the peaceful morning quiet.

"Come in," he called, already recognizing the gentle rhythm that belonged to his mother's approach.

Lilith entered with the kind of ethereal grace that made even simple movements appear choreographed by divine artists. She wore a flowing day dress of pale blue silk that complemented her crystalline eyes and made her white hair seem to glow with inner radiance.
